As someone who loves the balayage look but dreads frequent salon visits, I've found the perfect solution in dpHUE's Color Dream Light Brown Demi-Permanent Hair Toning Gloss. Good gray coverage for some hair types
I have black, low porosity, kinky (4c) hair. This product was fairly easy to apply. The only things that weren't clear were how to get one of the tubes open (you have to use the lid to puncture the seal) and what color the mixture should be when ready to apply. These things weren't explained in th...

Not working for me
Not working for me !! Too dry and thick, no use of using this hair color my grey hair was still same and waste of time and money
Dnt buy no use
Not even single grey hair convered
Nice subtle warmth
I have medium brown hair with some gray hair, this does a good job adding warmth and depth and covers the grays nicely, but not completely. I'm going for enhanced again and don't want the permanent dye. It lasts for about 16 washes on me.
Does not work well.

Comments about Copper
I bought this as a replacement for Madison Reed. No real comparison - I do not like this product. I can't stand the smell for one but I didn't like the way it worked. Won't ever buy again.
Does not cover greys
Had to reschedule my hair appointment, so I bought this to cover the greys until my appointment. It provided absolutely no coverage for said grey hairs.

Can you mix 1/2 of each in a different container and save 1/2 if each for future use?
- Asked by Jessica
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageNo, Color Dream cannot be stored or reused once it has been mixed. Because it’s an oxidative color, the formula must be used immediately after mixing and should never be stored in another container or saved for future use. Please follow the directions provided on the box for safe and proper use! Feel free to reach out to info@dphue.com for further assistance. Thank you!Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can I use a lighter color on darker hair to make my hair slightly lighter? I have light to medium brown hair and I want to try the golden blonde color to lighten my hair a little but will that work? Ive never dyed my hair or anything so I don't know if this will work.
- Asked by Lighter colors in darker hair
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageColor Dream is a deposit-only demi-permanent color and isn’t formulated to lift or lighten your natural hair. So a lighter shade like Golden Blonde won’t make your light/medium brown hair lighter. It can add tone, but it can’t lift the underlying color. Reach out to info@dphue.com for further assistance with a shade match! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
can you use it on dry hair? this will be my first time using.
- Asked by Josie
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageYou can use Color Dream on dry hair, but clean, towel-dried hair usually works best and makes application a lot easier, especially if it’s your first time using it. Since it’s formulated to apply and process like a toner (vs. permanent color where dry hair is better), slightly damp hair helps distribute the product more evenly. Thanks for the inquiry! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can you use just part of the kit and save the rest for next time?
- Asked by CM
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageThanks for your question! Color Dream is a single-use kit designed to be used immediately after mixing the color cream and activator. Once mixed, the formula begins to oxidize and cannot be saved for future use. For best results, apply the entire mixture during one application. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is this more warm or ash colored?
- Asked by TalynL
- Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand EngageThanks for your question! Color Dream shades are generally formulated to be neutral in tone unless otherwise noted in the shade name. For example, Cool Blonde has cooler, ashier undertones, while Golden Blonde leans warm. Shades like Medium Brown or Light Blonde are designed to be more balanced and neutral. For the most accurate results, we recommend checking the swatch imagery and product descriptions, and doing a strand test to preview how the color appears on your hair before full application. Let us know more about your current hair and goals—we’d be happy to help guide you to the best match! Was this answer helpful to you
