Can this product be used on straight hair? I want something to use to protect against heat and is also good for dry/frizzy hair. I don't want any chemicals or silicones which is why I'm inclined to reach for this product, but most of the reviews are from people with curly hair and this spray does have a light "hold" to it as the description says.

I like the SheaMoisture line for its natural ingredients. I have very fine thin hair with a light amount of wave that most often ends up looking frizzy as the day goes on. I recently started using the Jamaican Strength and Grow shampoo with leave-in conditioner (which I dilute for my fine hair). Which Shea product would be best to add for a styling component, specifically to create curls/waves in fine hair?

Decent shine, almost no hold
I use this product nearly every day, both when creating a style and when refreshing a style in the morning. But I haven't noticed that this product has any real 'hold' at all. Its ok
I wanted to love this, but I just like it. Smells great, makes hair a tad smoother and a tad softer I guess. I spray it on damp hair at night, wake up and hot roller my hair. Doesn't add much shine, adds no hold at all. Not sure if the protein and oil in this did anything or not.

For a natural look
I have been using this since it came out. It's a natural hold, lightly conditioning, styling spray. If you have naturally straight hair, it's not going to provide a strong hold for a roller set or curling iron curls. That's not really what it's for. I have wavy hair and am growing my hair very long. So, I have to wear protective styles to keep my hair away from wind and friction damage. I sometimes show off the length on special occasions. But, for the most part I live in protective hairstyles. This product is perfect to mist all over the hair, after setting a long length updo- like a bun, braid, twist or banded style. It's also gives a little control when tying up hair. It helps me to keep my hair gathered together, while I am putting it up. It's perfect as a scrunch spray. It enhances waves and curls- as long as they are either natural or permed! I give it 5 stars!
Left my hair brittle and tangled
Very disappointed in this - my hair looked dry and was a tangled mess. Surprised it has such great reviews - which is what led me to buying it. Definitely returning this!

this made my hair feel greasy. It does get rid of the frizz somewhat but its also making my hair feel very greasy. I dont like when I can feel products in my hair. this isn't for me.
