Is this a gluten free product?

But read on, because if you're asking this question, there's more you should know. *cue ‘90's music from NBC* We don't actively market our products as gluten-free, primarily because we believe this can be confusing. There are a number of myths surrounding the impact of gluten in personal care vs. food. According to the Mayo Clinic, shampoos and conditioners that contain gluten would need to be swallowed or come into contact with an open wound for someone with Celiac disease to react. This is even true for different types of dermatitis that can arise from Celiac, but still it is required that the gluten be ingested vs. topically applied (with the exception of things like lipstick where you'd easily ingest product or application on or near a wound). So if you're gluten-intolerant or have Celiac disease, it's worth talking to your allergist or doctor about your personal care needs. Solid clarifying shampoo
This is bordering on stripping, but thats what this shampoo is for. Among my favorite clarifying shampoos - it does what it needs to Note if youre ordering online: these bottles leak slowly when on their side, so dont wait a werk to open it like I did. Oops!
Clarifying without stripping
A lot of clarifying shampoos have sodium lauryl (or laureth) sulfate in them, which are very harsh cleaning agents. I've found those ingredients strip my hair of too much moisture so my scalp has to overcompensate, leaving me with an oily scalp and dry, frizzy ends. This shampoo does a nice job of clarifying to get rid of product buildup without being too harsh, leaving my hair refreshed and not stripped.
I love it
It smells so luxurious and is much more gentle than other shampoos. I have a very sensitive scalp and my stylist gave me another shampoo to try, but my scalp started hurting so I came back to this and it calmed down. It's fine for colored and even bleached hair. At least for me.
WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING??!!
So I had bought this shampoo plus conditioner for my 12 year old daughter. At first when she started to use this brand everything was good and clean after she had washed her hair. Then the next morning i could tell she had BIG chunky flakes in her hair. The thing though is she has always washed her own hair, and nothing like this had ever happened. I personally don't recommend at all.
A pretty good shampoo.
For an every day, well-priced, regular shampoo this is pretty nice. However, it is not exactly "clarifying" in my experience and does not foam up very much.
