I used this product for 5-6 weeks and my face got worse, but finally I figured it out. Treat this cleanser like medicine, use it morning and night, rub it on your face and count to at least 20 while you do so. My theory is this: it's kinda like when you take antibiotics, but not all of them, you ki...

Not as good as it use to be

I have been using this cleanser by Murad for many years. About a year ago, they changed the formula. It is now seems to be more watery than the version before it, you have to use more of it than before. I think that it's an expensive product as it it, and for them to change the formula so that one n...

Loved it... and then immediately did not

So, i bought this in march of this year. I had some stubborn breakouts at the time, many closed comedones and some cystic break outs on my cheek area. My sister recommended this to me because it had helped her alot a couple years or so back. So in good faith i bought it, and i cant lie and say immediately it made things worse. It actually improved some of my concerns and i was feelinh super hopeful... but that quickly changed around my second almost third month of use. During that time frame my skin began peeling and never felt hydrated enough, my skin had become even more bumpier than before along my cheeks and jaw. And the cystic break outs were constant along my chin and jaw area, particularly on my right side (which will probably take a minute to reverse.). I decided to start using a gentler cleanser in the morning and this one at night and still, it only did so much to lessen my issues. Fast forward to a few days ago, my skin is full of PIH and PIE, and multiple inflammed breakouts... i finally stopped using this and instead reverted back to my peach slices snail rescue cleanser and just within those four days my barrier feels so much better, my breakouts although still present arent painful to the touch anymore and are far less red. I decided to investigate why this might be and i was so disappointed to find out through the acne clinic pore clogging ingredient checker that this and multiple of the acne control products from murad are full of pore clogging ingredients. How are you going to put Ingredients like that in a product many are using hoping to clear their skin? The only thing this did was get rid of my black heads but at what cost 💔

Pay attention to the difference in product

I Loved the Acne Control clarifying cream cleanser. It was not on the site so I bought the acne control cleanser. Online image looked identical so I thought it was a bottle upgrade. It is different. Higher acid and a gel. It's very drying to my skin

Different acid percentage, smaller and gel

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Disappointed

Shrank the size of the bottle from 6.7oz to 5 and kept the price the same. Changed the formula and now doesnt lather like it used to or clean my face well anymore. I find myself using more product to attempt to feel clean. 2 months in and I still have brow and forehead breakouts that i havent had since high school. Really sucks. I used to love this product something fierce.

My son has very sensitive skin and eczema, but has also has acne will this be too harsh on his skin?
Asked by Gi
Official Answer By Murad - Sampling + BE
Knowing the skin challenges, I would have your son use the Clarifying Cream Cleanser. It has salicylic acid as well but also has additional hydration. Knowing your son is sensitive, I would advise performing a patch test prior to applying all over. Was this answer helpful to you

Does this help eliminate blackheads on my nose
Asked by Kim
Official Answer By Murad - Sampling + BE
The best thing for blackheads is exfoliation. While salicylic acid does help to exfoliate the pores you want a treatment that contains glycolic acid. That helps keep the pores clear from dead skin cells. Was this answer helpful to you
