To Use: AM and PM
Cleanse, tone, then apply 1-2 pumps to face and neck, allowing serum to fully absorb before applying moisturizer or SPF during the day. Deep acne bump or breakout? Alternate by applying Biome-Balancing Clear & Prevent Acne Treatment Serum during the day, and spot-treating with Deep Relief Acne Treatment at night.
For external use only. When using this product, skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time.

So disappointing…
I've been using Murad for almost 20 years, and it's so disappointing and discouraging that they continuously replace effective products with ineffective ones. Not sure why they discontinued their Outsmart Acne serum, but it was twice the amount of product for a little more than half the price and left my skin looking and feeling amazing! Not to mention I used to could stretch one tube for nearly 3 months! Now I'm lucky if I can make it a month with almost double the cost! And as if that wasn't bad enough, it leaves a terrible sticky residue feeling like the kind after you've been doing cardio for an hour! To top it all off, my face looks like I'm not even using anything with more breakouts than I've had in years! Save your time, money and skin and just go with something else treatment wise. I'll continue using their acne line's cleanser and toner for now until they inevitably change those formulas to be wastes of money foo.
A Genuinely Life-Changing Serum
I have always struggled with acne, and finding products that actually work. Then, I was introduced to Murad during a promo we held at out stores, and I jumped onto this serum the moment we had it in stock. Within days my skin cleared up, smoothed out, and began to glow like never before. I am AMAZED by this product! I use this product alone in AM and PM, no lengthy, million-step skincare routine needed! this is the only serum that helps me with my closed comodones/ whiteheads. My cheeks usually are covered in them but once I incorporated this into my routine they disappeared after 3 days! I just wish it was cheaper to buy.
Saved me MULTIPLE times
I run to this product whenever I start to feel a breakout coming or even if one has already started and even though it has actives it calms down my extremely reactive skin. I suffer from getting breakouts during my luteal phase and this has saved me multiple times. The only thing I will say is that if you get post-inflammatory erythema, which I do, I would add a brightening serum or something else since this has helped with clearing my skin but it takes a VERY long time to help PIE. Overall, I have bought countless bottles, and will continue to as backups!
Great for acne-prone skin
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a nice serum for those with acne-prone skin who wish to have a little more control over their breakouts. It's not a miracle serum, since acne can occur for multiple reasons, but it's very helpful. The ingredients are great. This serum has a gel-like consistency and no scent. It doesn't sting or irritate the skin in any way, which is surprising for an acne product. I like that it has a pump, but the plastic packaging feels cheap for a $45 product.
