After you wash your face and before you apply your moisturizer each morning, apply vitamin C Serum to a clean face and neck as part of your skincare routine (don't forget to always wear SPF, too).
After using, store in a cool, dark place.
If you are new to vitamin C, patch test and build up tolerance.

Cannot recommend the Elf Vitamin C Serum
I wanted to love this product. It has a great ingredient deck with actives I want in my routine. This is a value price and it seems to be shelf stable when open for awhile. I cannot recommend this Elf serum because it severely irritated my face and chest. I had a similar reaction to the Skincueticals GOAT product with red splotches, irritation, and what appears to be hives. Vit C products I use successfully: Drunk Elephant, Sunday Riley, Derma E, Paula's Choice, and Dermalogica.
Sticky and smelly
I wanted to like this product because the price point is better than my usual product. However, it makes my face feel very sticky and the smell is so bad I dreaded using it. I think it's supposed to be citrusy, but it's a failure. Back to my normal tried and true!

I recently tried the e.l.f skin bright icon Vitamin C + E + Ferulic Serum and I'm actually impressed. First of all, the formula feels super lightweight and absorbs really quickly into the skin without feeling greasy at all. It layers well under moisturizer and makeup, which I love for my morning routine. After using it consistently, my skin started to look more even and a little more radiant.

If you want an effective serum to brighten up your skin, this is great. It's a fraction of the price of other higher end formulas but it's still effective. It absorbs well and it plays nicely with other skincare. Will be a continued user, please don't discontinue it.
