Don't buy this product for the dual voltage capability.

I bought this hair dryer because of the dual voltage capability. I am in New Zealand , plugged in the dryer with the appropriate adapter and the dryer turned on and then became so hot it shut off and will not restart with either an adapter or converter. There are no instructions as to how to change voltage and there is no obvious switch. I am very, very disappointed in this product. This is second Dry Bar product I have bought that I have been dissatisfied with. Never again..

It's not as powerful as I'd hoped and it has a feature that turns it down every minute or so to presumably "cool off" before it returns to full strengths automatically. It's kind of annoying while in use.
Do not buy
The first Baby Buttercup dryer I purchased stopped working after less than a month. I was able to exchange it at the store. On the second dryer, the point where the cord connects to the dryer split and frayed causing the a wire short. This happened after 1 year and now I cannot find the receipt, nor can Ulta print me a copy of my receipt. I will not purchase a Drybar product again. It is overpriced for the quality.
