This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Received oxidized serum

This was my first time ordering and sadly I received an already oxidized serum which is supposed to be unoppened, most probably it's a batch that is expired as the website states unoppened products have 3 years shelf life. I will seek to return this product and hope there won't be much hassle in t...

Good for trying out Azelaic Aid

The Ordinary's azelaic acid (AA) is great if u want to try AA and see if it works for ur skin issues (acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, etc.) w/o spending much at first. The texture isn't my fav, but I found I could make the silicone-y, powdery feel disappear if I applied it after using my Colourpop vitamin C face oil serum. I doubted whether the texture would work w my foundations (CG Simply Ageless skin tint and Bare Minerals Original powder). I wasn't comfortable w/o my face oil under the AA, but my foundations were fine when I used face oil. The Ordinary's AA really helped prevent pimples forming around my mouth, which causes hyperpigmentation. Really great results. However, when I finished my Ordinary AA, I was ready to try the Anua one bc I don't like the slight, chemically burning smell (not actually burning, just the smell). The texture change was also a big bonus. The Anua one doesn't have the smell and absorbs easily. It is 2x the price, but from my use so far, I think it will last 2-3 longer than the Ordinary's bc u need to use a lot less of a serum in volume compared to a paste. So cost per use is about the same or better w the Anua.

Rosacea and Hot Flashes (yay)

Submitted 7 days ago

By Joyce

From San Diego, CA

I've not tried any prescriptions for my rosacea and I've never met anyone with worse than mine. I figured I'd live with it and cover it. Started perimenopause and it was like rosacea didn't take a holiday. Everything I've tried with The Ordinary (five products so far) has worked. It's taken a long time for a company to get it right in both potency and price. This cream is the only product in my 27 years with rosacea that has worked. It stops it by 85% (from my very first use) and reduces the redness from my hot flashes by more than half. If applied first, there can be a pilling issue with other products. All I do is let it dry for at least three minutes and there's no pilling. I'd use a lot of exclamation marks, but I want you to really hear me... It has changed my life.

Very little product in the tube

Submitted 10 days ago

By Ann

From Rochester, NY

I purchased this on July 20th, and here we are a week later and I am squeezing the last of it out of the tube, which felt pretty empty to begin with when I first got it. I use my products sparingly, and this shouldn't have run out in one week. I doesn't seem as though there was an ounce of product in the tube. There's not enough to use to say whether this product makes a difference or not.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

How effective on brown spots on face. I'm 65 and notice I'm getting the dreaded brown spots on the sides of my face.
Asked by Michelle
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%'s results will vary depending on your unique skin-type although it will help inhibit the enzyme that produces excess pigment while calming inflammation. You may wish to use it with Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is alpha arbutin + HA or HA +B5 better for aging skin
Asked by Rosie
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA is great for addressing hyperpigmentation on the skin, and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is great for hydrating. Both are great as a part of a well-aging regimen, it just depends on you and your specific skin concerns. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
