EVERYTHING I want in a styler!!

I've tried cream stylers, but those don't define my waves. I've tried gels and those weigh my hair down and make it look like string. I've tried layering stylers and it just feels like too much for my hair. Don't even get me started on frizz because I've tried everything to the point where I usually...

May work better on younger people's hair?

I will start by saying I am 71, with a full head of long silver wavy/curly hair. I've been using the styling products from the former detox scalp detox (blue) line, with great success: Weightless Air Dry Cream, Full Body Thickening Lotion, & Hydro Style Flexi Jelly. The Full Body Thickening Lotion h...

Good wave definer. It's a good silicone-free option if you have a rough finish to the hair and your hair likes silicones

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I normally use the Curlsmith Hold Me Softly Cream with gel on top but when I saw this new product I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, my 3B curls absolutely hate this product. They somehow come out stringy through the lengths and super frizzy at the ends, no matter how much product I add. Also, this product has a different scent than all the others in the blue packaging so trying to mix this with the gel creates a very strong scent that I don't find to be the most pleasant.

1/5 ⭐️– Not for 3c/4a Curls

I really wanted to like this curl cream, but it just did not work for my 3c/4a high-porosity curls. Instead of definition or hold, all I got was frizz. My curls looked puffy, undefined, and honestly worse than if I had used nothing at all. If you rely on products for strong curl definition, long-lasting hold, or moisture that actually seals in your pattern, this isn't it. I wouldn't recommend this product for anyone with 3c/4a curls—there are much better options out there that won't leave you disappointed.

Terrible

This went on sale and I was so excited to try it. I have thick, wavy hair and normally not super dry but this stuff makes it feel like straw. It smells awful and feels even worse. Not sure what the hype is about.

I LOVE curlsmith products, so I thought the Awestruck Cream would be great. Instead, it left my 3B curls feeling dry with white flakes within a few hours. I typically wash my hair 1-2 times a week, but it didn't really give any kind of long lasting hold. My hair was pretty frizzy the next day, so I'd likely have to refresh/wash it more frequently. For the price, this was not worth it for me and is likely too lightweight for my curl texture. The only positive is that it smells really nice!
