Is DHC a cruelty-free company? do your products contain animal derived ingredients?

- Official Answer By DHC - Brand EngageAlthough DHC products are not certified by any third-party organization as cruelty-free, DHC does not test on animals or ask others to do so on our behalf unless required by regulation for import to another country. Regarding animal-derived ingredients, with the exception of Super Collagen Mist, which is a blend of botanical and synthetic sources, collagen, a protein found mostly in hair, skin, nails, bones, and ligaments, comes mostly from animal sources. The source of collagen in each product is different and Astaxanthin specifically uses collagen derived from piscine (fish).Was this answer helpful to you

not happy with stained pillowcases
This would be a great moisturizer, except for the fact that if I use it at night I find my pillowcases are stained in the morning. Doesn't come out with oxygen bleach and pre-treat either. I have been using this product intermittently over the years. About 3 months ago I started using daily and what a difference. I am 63 years old and was aging well enough, but I was starting to see wrinkles and my jowl had a slight drop. After a few months of continuous use, my face is firmer, brighter, pores are reduced and I barely notice my jowl. Wish I had figured this out a few years ago.

Dear developers at DHC; Please, don't ever stop making this wonderful product. This is my fourth purchase of Astaxanthin moisture cream, and it goes without saying, that I love it. It's great for my aging skin, it goes on smoothly, lasts a long time; and is perfect under my makeup. Every time I find a product that I adore - for reasons beyond my purview - the company stops making it. So please, DHC, continue with this one, and your Astaxanthin customers will adore you.
A good cream for dry skin or winter time
I started using this at the beginning of December and live in Maryland, so a cold and dry time. I was hoping it would be a light to medium weight moisturizer to get me through the dryer months and I could wear to work - not so much. This is definitely a thicker cream, not so much a gel consistency, and I have opted to use it at night and it does its job very well. I have normal to combination skin, somewhat dry-leaning in these months, so it worked out. I have a very active (healthcare) job and couldn't take having it on at work, so that's what led to taking a star off, but that's mostly personal preference. Otherwise it seems to be a great product, can't discern any fragrance good or bad as other reviewers have voiced concerns about, and no breakouts either.
