This works !

I've struggled with dandruff and scalp issues off and on over the last couple of years and I've tried everything from prescription to over the counter to natural treatments. Most of the time it'll take months before it gets better or goes away. I've been using Cerave for three times now and what a h...

URGENT - DO NOT BUY

For the love of God, do not buy this or the pairing conditioner. I switched to CeraVe shampoo and conditioner because I have really oily hair, which causes a lot of buildup and sometimes even painful acne or sore bumps on my scalp. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt this one was important. After years of spending a lot of money at the dermatologist for severe dandruff and an oily scalp and trying so many products, this shampoo is the first thing that has truly worked for me. I wash my scalp with this shampoo for two washes, then follow with Ouai shampoo, and it's been amazing. I'm on day 6 with no flakes at all, which never happens for me. I usually can't go more than 5 to 6 days without dandruff.

My scalp gets dry when the weather is cold. This took care of my dandruff and left my hair soft.

Finally found a product that got rid of all flakes. After the body shop ginger shampoo was discontinued i went on a search for 2 years to find a shampoo that has got rid of my dry, itchy, flaky scalp. Glad i tried this product!

URGENT - DO NOT BUY

For the love of God, do not buy this or the pairing conditioner. I switched to CeraVe shampoo and conditioner because I have really oily hair, which causes a lot of buildup and sometimes even painful acne or sore bumps on my scalp. I've tried so many products, but this was the only one that seemed to actually work by keeping my scalp healthy and my hair looking clean and oil-free all day. BUT after 6-8 weeks of regular use, I noticed an ungodly amount of hair falling out, especially in the shower. Like when I'd rinse out the conditioner, I end up with a whole wad of loose hair in my hands. I have to clean the drain once, if not twice, every shower -- and that's not to mention the globs of hair stuck to the walls! I've always had thick hair, so when I had to give my hair tie an extra twist just to keep it from slipping, I FREAKED out. I went to Reddit and found a bunch of other users having the *same* reaction. I don't know how this is still on the shelves.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
