Hair Type Very Curly Hair

This is my favorite moisturizing shampoo so far. I have type 4 hair with medium/coarse strands and I always wear my hair pressed. I tend to go weeks in between washes so I clarify first then follow up with this. It's great to clean whatever the clarifier left behind. The cleansers in this are very gentle and there's no oil. So while it cleans and doesn't add unnecessary oils to your hair, it's definitely not strong enough to clean 3 weeks worth of build up on its own. I've seen people on YouTube use this as their only shampoo and their hair tends to be greasy due to not being all the way clean. I find that it's easier to keep the hair from tangling when I use this versus other moisturizing shampoos. You could detangle with this if you wanted to. The consistency is kind of like a really thin jelly. I tend to use an applicator bottle to apply shampoo to my scalp/roots but I don't have to with this. Very easy to spread throughout the hair and scalp without having to worry about product slipping off your hand. It works through the hair easily and rinses out clean. I do find that it can be a little irritating to my scalp (very slight, short lived stinging) if I used a scalp scrubber when I clarified which has never happened with any other shampoo, but that's about it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

this is hands down the best shampoo I've ever used. it really smoothes and tames my extremely curly, frizzy, unruly hair. it's also compatible with keratin treatments so I don't have to worry about it dissolving the keratin from my hair. it is soo hard to find a good shampoo that doesn't contain sulfates and sodium chloride. PLEASE DON'T EVER STOP MAKING THIS.

I personally love the whole line for the Silk Press collection. The shampoo is very sudsy, and you only need a 2-3 pumps (if that) for your whole head per wash. I follow up with the conditioner as well. Hair Type: 4B
