I was looking to switch up the retinol in my skincare and this one did absolutely ✨nothing✨ for me. Cera Ve resurfacing retinol i will never betray you again. (I have dry skin with hormonal acne)

One of the best I've tried
Of the many OTC retinols ive tried over the years, this one takes the cake. I love the gel texture and saw results after only a few weeks. I get the most compliments on my skin when using this consistently. Plus i cant beat the price point!! Im a fan for life, cocokind please never stop making this!

I was experiencing heavier breakouts than I have in years and decided to change my skincare routine. I incorporated this retinol 3x/week at night and noticed calmer skin the next day. I notice decreased blemishes in combination with salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide. A must-have for your skincare routine!
Great for mixing w your moisturizer

Highly recommend for "cocktailing" with whatever evening moisturizer works for your skin! I really did not like this at first - it stained my pillows that famous retinal yellow. Gross! But when I started mixing it with my usual cream, voila! Great skin effects and zero icky pillow marks :) A request though... this product is clearly stronger than Cocokind's own beginner formula, but it's not that strong for experienced retinoid users. I recommend this product for it's formulation and combo of retinoid "speeds" but in my opinion it's an intermediate strength. I implore the awesome Cocokind team to make a stronger version with more retinAL that can compete with products for more experienced users that still want the benefits of the soothing ingredients. Please? Lovinah's retinal serum is a good example (but is way overpriced IMHO!) :D
Packs a good punch!
This product did not end up working for me, which is completely my fault. I tend to be sensitive to retinols but recently have been tolerating a 3% retinol serum just fine, so I reached for this advanced 5% as a step up. I used it for about three weeks, at first I had severe burning and irritation. Then, I worked my way up to every other day with limited irritation, but I still had very faint, pesky, red patches. Upon looking into this product further I discovered it contains Retinal, Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate and Lactic acid. Going from a regular retinol to a retinal, retinol and lactic acid was a bigger jump than I bargained for and looking back I should have opted for their beginner product at 2% as retinal being included makes it much stronger. I did however, notice the tightening effect starting and my skill cell turnover rate immediately speed up. Awesome over the counter strength and results in under 3 weeks, just too strong for me!!
