Apply using Ouidad's Rake & Shake technique. Divide damp hair into sections. Rake a nickel-size amount of gel through each section, using fingertips to seal and smooth the cuticle from roots to ends. When finished, hold the ends of hair in each section and shake to create curls. Let hair air-dry or blow-dry with a diffuser.

This was my perfect gel! The new formula does not work well for me- I feel like I need to use MUCH more per application for the same definition, and the hold does not last all day. The gel is great. I've been using LUS brand Irish sea moss gel and the Ouidad is just as good, but doesn't leave your hair feeling crunchy like the LUS gel. I've never liked how my hair looks over the summer and with this product I feel confident wearing my hair down.

Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I know products work differently for everyone but for my hair, this gel is by far the best. It does not weigh down my hair making my hair much curlier (I have fine hairs but lots of hair). It also has no smell (I can't stand Curl Pattern for this reason). I went through a period of trying to find something better of maybe the same at a lower price, but this is the one from now on.
