Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50:

I took off one star because of the oxybenzone ingredient but no parabens is a plus. And I have to admit, it took me a couple of tries using this to really appreciate it. It does take more than a few minutes for it to actually 'soak in to the skin' and then the slight greasiness goes away, but when it does my skin is definitely plumper! Will repurchase this.

Burns like a bih!

By April A.

from TN

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50:

I love the consistency of this sunscreen. It is very hydrating and makes skin look supple and plump. I wish they could have kept the original pump application However this product stings my eyes so bad. I definitely didn't get any product in my eyes and I dont rub my eyes at all.

Okay Sunscreen, But No HG

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50:

I always choose broad spectrum & SPF 50 sunscreens, and had high hopes for this one becoming a HG product that I would want to wear every day. As someone with oily & dehydrated skin, I was also intrigued by the moisturization claims. It comes out of the tube as a light blue lotion, but when you spread it over skin it goes clear and gel-like. I found the texture to be pleasing and slightly cooling on the skin. For me, this sunscreen is mildly hydrating, but it also has some serious drawbacks. First, it stung badly when I applied it around my eyes, which often happens to me with chemical sunscreens. Second, it balled up badly when I applied the sunscreen over any other skincare products that had not 100% absorbed into my skin. Fourth, there is a noticeable amount of fragrance. I didn't notice any facial irritation, but this might be a better body sunscreen. Fifth, although it claims to be non-greasy, I actually felt like the sunscreen had quite a greasy feel. In summary, I might be inclined to use this on days when I have ample time to do my skincare routine and allow products to fully dry before applying it. However, those days are far and few between. This is a high maintenance sunscreen that sadly won't be my HG.

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50:

I've been on the hunt for an inexpensive daily face SPF that doesn't smell like sunscreen, and I think I've found it! This SPF is an ice blue color but goes on completely clear, and it has a fragrance that I would describe as half sunscreen, half floral. (It's hard to find good-scented spf's so I'll let it slide.) As you would expect with a "hydro boost" product, it does hydrate the skin but not to a point where it gets oily or greasy. It doesn't break me out, and to my knowledge it protects my skin from UVA/UVB rays. This lotion is more runny than regular sunscreens, so make sure to keep the container upright when applying!

    Contains alcohol

By Late 30s with dry skin

    from Seattle, WA

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50:

At the time of writing this review, the ingredients for this product aren't listed in the app for some reason so I feel it's important to note that Alcohol denat., which many people avoid using on their face, is the 3rd ingredient. I haven't used this long enough to determine if the alcohol is causing any issues. I will not repurchase this product. For context, I like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 55, and (my fave) the Neutrogena Ultra Liquid SPF 70. Given my track record I hoped this product would be my new favorite, but it's a disappointment. On my dry skin it just sits on the skin and doesn't seem to want to sink in even after lots of rubbing, leaving a greasy look. I'm definitely going back to my other Neutrogena sunscreens.

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50:

This is the only American sunscreen I like. It's so similar to the Asian biore sunscreen, it's so lightweight. This will change the way you look at sunscreen
