I have been using Conair's Compact Hairsetter rollers for more than 5 years. It could actually be closer to 10 years. They work GREAT with my hair which is fine, wavy to curly, depending on length. At this time my hair is long and extremely wavy. The way I use them is, the smallest rollers around my face - 1 for the bangs and 4 total on the left and right of my face. Then I use the largest rollers on the top of my head going directly down to the back and stop mid-section. Then I use 1 or 2 of the mediums to have more curl at the back-end, where my hair is longest (I want there to be more curl, rather than relaxed). I use the medium rollers on the rest of my hair, which rounds out my ends; works beautifully. When I remove the rollers I shake out for long curls or finger through for shorter prounced curls. Females of all ages compliment my curls and ask how do I style my hair. When a man compliments my hair I'm like, "really, thanks!", it's surprisingly nice. I read a comment, someone mentioned these take long to warm up, I've NEVER had that problem and they get EXTREMELY hot - OUCH! hot. Before I get in the shower I plug them in, or I can also plug them in right before I start to blow dry my hair - doesn't matter when, they are always ready, hot and easy to use. And the stainless steel clips are 110% better than the plastic butterfly clips. I leave them in anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes (depending on time constraint) while I tend to other tasks, which is great as I'm not standing in front of a mirror with a curling iron doing one strand at at time. I'd like to say I hope this review helps, but truth is everyones hair is different.
This product is adorable with beautiful shades of blue, but I thought that it took a long time to heat up. When I finally got all of my hair in the rollers, I thought they were a little heavy. Even though I had pretreated hair with curl cream, the hair just didn't keep the curl, though I think it may be because I have coarse, straight, long (mid-back) Asian hair. My mom has shorter hair, and these curlers would probably work better for her.

With Covid 19 hair is suddenly long for the first time in years. Requires more than just blow drying. I haven't used hot rollers in years but don't remember them taking Tuscumbia long to heat up. I will keep them but I recommend going for the newer versions -not these old fashioned hot rollers.

Are used my last set of hot rollers for over 20 years they were a different brand, and these are the worst hot rollers I've ever used in my life. I will be returning these and purchasing another product.

the only hot rollers which have more smaller rods for shorter hair and more curls. the different size rods can fit all of the heating elements unlike all other brands i've tried. i just love this set !

I use to always hot roll my hair, then i switched to curling iron, recently got these bc of needed extra time and hot rollers are quick and easy! Great for the price wished they got a little bit hotter, just so that it would go faster for me LOL to get ready!!

I cannot stand using a curling wand, I don't like the way to looks when I use one on myself, and these game me exactly what I was trying for and stay in my hair so well.

Curls last longer than just using a curling iron

I have used this product or Clairol hot rollers for 43 years best holding, bounce and volume for any type hair. They last for years. When you roll the hair 1 direction you place the clip the opposite direction to prevent the curler from sliding out of your head. This is a common mistake if you have never used them. If they ever quit making these I am in HUGE TROUBLE.

This is my second set of these hot rollers. I had my first set for over 10 years and used them almost daily. Great product!

I was glad to find some hot rollers; however, I am disappointed in this product. I found it takes a long time to heat. I have left it on for 15-20 minutes and the dot on the center curler had just a small chance in color. All of the clips have the same color on the tip. You can order additional curves which is great but if you order 6 more middle curves, you must order 2 more sets of clips. Thus you have even more lips you don't need. Thank you. I would recommend this product with limitations.

Would not recommend. The curlers burn your fingers when you try to roll them up and I saw almost no difference when I used the curlers. They were completely gone morning. Really not impressed.

I should have given more credit to the bad reviews, but I thought they couldn't be that bad. Well, they are. Just a plastic roller, nothing to help them retain heat. The set gets hot enough that by the time I got my hair in rollers my fingertips felt slightly burned. The issue is that by the time I got the last one in place over half of what I had put in my hair had cooled to the point they were ineffective. The rollers cooled so quickly it didn't set the curl in my hair. When I removed the rollers there was a bit of curl, but within 5 minutes my hair was straight and frizzed on the ends from the high heat. Please, save your money. I thought this might be a good solution for the period of time from now till I can get back in to my hairdresser after the COVID shutdown, but it is a total waste of money!

They wave hair somewhat nicely if you brush your hair out. However I didn't get my free gift.

I start the rollers heating when I start drying my hair so they're hot & ready. Rollers get HOT and unfortunately the rods remain extremely hot once curlers are removed. You have to be careful and not touch them when getting another roller. Although I read one roller shows a white spot when hot & ready, mine doesn't. ON indicator Red light needs to blink when rollers are ready. I like this set having 3 sizes of rollers so they can be used with any length of hair. I have 3 other hair setters which I still trade off with and they all have weighted rollers which I like better. For the price and number of rollers this set comes with I feel it is a great set for the price. I highly recommend this set.

I actually returned this product. The curlers are just plastic, no core to heat up. They didn't retain the heat for very long and my curls fell out in less than an hour. The reason I gave it 2 stars was because of the amount of curlers, plenty. So if Conair could put a ceramic/titanium core in these to get hotter and retain the heat longer I think they would be perfect.

I have plugged these in twice and each time I feel like they don't warm up that well. Not sure about these.

I do like the product overall but every time you heat it the plastic leg gets a little bit smaller. It is almost to the point now where I have trouble opening and closing it. I have only had it about six or eight months. Also, they could use more midsize rollers and less of the tiny little ones. I have no use for them. I have had the same issue with other Con Air heat rollers with plastic lids. The lid seem to degrade quite easily. They need to work on that.

I have had numerous sets of hot rollers over the years and these are THE WORST. First, they are just plastic, meaning no wax or water or anything INSIDE the roller to actually heat properly. The one roller in the center is supposed to show when they are ready. Had them plugged in for over a half hour and some were slightly warm, others nothing. Then the clips correspond to the roller sizes and I wasn't given enough of the medium sized clips. Lastly my hair has always looked shiny and great using hot rollers, the curl with these was not pretty at all. I don't think I will purchase this brand ever again.

my mom likes these better than curling iron
