Most Helpful Positive Review I was surprised (in a good way) I honestly just found this product in the medicine cabinet and thought it was for the face.. I've been dealing with severe acne on the sides of my face for a month already. It said overnight cream so I washed my face with warm to hot water and applied the product before I went to bed. The product just glides on your face I love it. The smell is weird in the container but you don't smell it on your face. Anyways, when I woke up my acne looked incredible. When I break out the acne gets so red, when I woke up I saw little to no redness. I was so shocked to google what this product is, apparently it's for wrinkles and etc but I am not lying IT DID WONDERS FOR MY ACNE !
Most Helpful Critical Review Disappointed I began using this two nights ago. After washing my face at night, I applied the cream. Even though it hydrated my skin, I woke up with small red bumps on my cheeks. Also, my forehead was smooth and now I have white bumps after using this night cream. really bummed about the cream...

Always come back 5
Katy from Chicago
I've used creams many times more expensive than this one and I always find myself coming back. This feels the same and moisturizes the same as more expensive creams so it's hard to justify spending more. It is a little sticky feeling but I like it that way for my dry skin.
Surprsingly good 4

My skin is picky (dry, dehydrated, flaky, eczema-prone, no amount of normal moisturizer or oil seems to help in the winter but overuse of moisturizer makes me break out because I'm so sensitive and acne prone.) I use this product at nighttime -- just a pea sized amount all over my face after using the Cerave Moisturizing Cream on damp skin. This night cream is very balm-like, nonscented, doesn't make my face sting. I wake up with skin that is moisturized, refreshed, plump and smooth... which is so much better than waking up with dry, crease-y, flaky skin that needs exfoliated and heavily moisturized first thing in the morning.
For the acne prone people reading this - the dermatologist who recommended it (Dr. Dray on YouTube, anyone?!) said that it is not comedogenic however it is thick and occlusive, so SOME people, not all, who are acne prone may break out. I have thankfully not had that issue like I have with other creams I've tried, but I do use an AHA each morning so maybe that helps me personally.
PS I knocked a star ONLY because of ULTA customer service issues, not the product itself.

Fantastic! 5

I'm not big on writing comments but this cream is fantastic!! Absorbs completely, leaving the skin hydrated and not shiny. The hydration lasts all day. My daughter tried it and now uses it also. My skin is dry, hers combination and the cream works beautifully for both of us! Don't be afraid of the texture, your skin will drink it up! This cream is a true gem, I wouldn't be caught without it from now on.
Great for Winter! 5

If you're looking for a really good cream for the winter time, this is it! Super hydrating and does not make my skin break out. I use it at night on wet skin after putting on hyaluronic acid and in the morning my skin looks very hydrated.
I Love this product so much✨ 4
Jennifer from Boston
This product works so well with my skin. I have combination skin, so my t-zone would be very oil. I started my skincare routine months ago and I was buy products that would work for me. But I would find the right products for my nightly skincare. I would sometimes over exfoliate or over cleanse my face before going to bed and would wake up with a dry cheeks and sometimes dry forehead. But when I use this product this product I woke up with a very hydrated skin, I was so shock to see my skin look this amazing. I would put this as 5stars but before I bought this I thought this product would be in a bigger container but it is smaller than you think

so I learned v quickly w this stuff that it does NOT take much. Only a small bit covers my face, neck, & décolletage. This product is lovely, especially w my sensitive skin.
Rewrite of prior review 4
Robin from Asheville
IThe autocorrect on my iPad screwed up the prior review I wrote, so: this product is interesting because though very hydrating, it dries down to a matte finish. I do think it smooths my Undereye somewhat.
Interesting Product 4
Robin from Asheville
This very hydrating product is interesting because it does remain shiny or greasy, like Nivea. Instead, it dries down matte. I am using under concealer and I believe it makes my Undereye appear a bit smoother.
Velvety and rich 5

This is perfect for my dry skin! It feels similar to the Drunk Elephant La La Retro and Paula's Choice Omega Complex Moisturizer
Broke out with a HORRIBLE rash!!! 1

I absolutely LOVE the original cerave moisturizer except I felt like it wasn't moisturizing enough especially in winter. So I am sooooooo happy that I discovered this. It lowkey feels like a luxe cream and is the PERFECT texture. But, If you are someone who has oily skin or combo. I would not recommend this. I have normal - combo skin so everywhere else to dry to normal except for my nose but that isn't always very oily. Also, you cannot beat the price!
A MUST product if you are on vitamin a ! 4
Kathy from Portland
I have been using this face cream for a year and it has done wonders for my skin. I have been using 0.1 vitamin a this past year and had it not been for this cream, my skin would have cracked and bleed substantially. It is a shea butter base which makes it a great for both dry and oily skin, it adds moisture without a greasy residue and absorbs quickly. The major draw back to this product is that it comes with very little product for the price and one jar will only last you a month.
My favorite night cream 5
Amanda from KCMO
During winter I use this every night on top of a serum. I have used other night creams and this is definitely my favorite. It repairs my dry skin overnight. If I don't skip any nights, my skin is never dry to begin with! Very thick, almost buttery texture. Goes on smooth and takes probably 20 minutes to sink in to my skin entirely. The results + the price really can't be beat.
Great hydration 5

This is very moisturizing, and I Love the way my skin feels the next morning. It's so super soft and silky, but it does feel a bit "thick" when putting it on. I actually add a drop or two of my toner or rose water to thin it out, which makes it go on so much better, and without tugging or pulling on my skin.
I definitely recommend this moisturizer, but for those who struggle with it being too thick, give the few drops of toner suggestion a whirl, you should see an improvement on the overall application, as well as the absorption.
Absolute best for dry, sensitive skin 5
Meg from Idaho
I tried the jet lag mask and it burned my skin and left it even drier than before. Cerave is about the only lotion I can use during the winter when my skin is freaking out. It hydrates and smoothes and leaves my face so soft. I pair it with the cerave hyaluronic acid serum.
Perfect for my compromised skin barrier 5
Anna from Connecticut
I have acne prone skin that is oily and very sensitive. The worst combination you could possibly have. This also means I've had trouble finding moisturizers that won't clog my pores or cause acne, and will deeply hydrate my skin. I'm not joking this moisturizer really has saved my skin. I used to feel like my skin was constantly stinging. Now I apply this at night and my skin doesn't sting during the day or at night and my skin texture is getting so smooth. My skin has been rough so this is a big improvement for me. I used to only use light oil free moisturizers because I was told rich ones would cause acne. Well..this hasn't! It's actually reduced my spots a lot because with a dramatic decrease in irritation my skin is getting healthier. I highly recommend this for anyone with skin issues.
Skin looks better than ever 5
AJ from Chicago
I have oily acne-prone skin and this moisturizer has totally helped make my skin look better than ever. For those saying it's too thick for oily skin, I just put small dots of it on my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead and it's the perfect amount without making me greasy. I use this nightly after double cleansing with DHC oil cleanser and the CeraVe oily skin wash and alternating nightly between The Ordinary Niacinimide serum and the Paula's Choice BHA exfoliant. My skin texture has significantly improved and my skin is glowing! I've also had it for a month and a half and still have half the jar left!
Little goes a long way 5
CeraVe Junkie from Colorado
Oily/combination, acne prone, sensitive skin
This container is small & amount seems even smaller. However, a little goes a long way. It lasts me a month as I alternate my retinal night cream a couple of times a week.
The consistency is creamy but not heavy. It spreads & absorbs very easily. Only downside is it "pills" if I don't give serums enough time to absorb. Patting it in prevents that.
I Like It 4
jerin from Tennessee
I like this product. It's thick and creamy, not oily or anything, and a dream price. My skin feels nice and soft in the morning and looks great. I feel like it could be a little more hydrating.
Nice texture, not super hydrating 5
Colorado 48 from Boulder, CO
I love the texture. No smell at all, which I love. I love in a dry climate and I could use a bit more hydration.. but I did not break out a lot, and many many products cause a breakout rash when I use them due to my retinA. I would definitely recommend.
Works great for an awesome price 4
Alex from Los Angeles, CA
Love how moisturizing and lightweight it is. For this price point you can't argue with it!
excellent gentle (yet effective) cream; not just for night 5
brh from ma
i bought this because my skin was super irritated and its moisture barrier was fried from overdoing acne treatments, and i needed a gentle, soothing, and very moisturizing cream. needless to say it was perfect for that purpose, healed my skin in under a week, but it was so good that i didn't just stop using it there, it replaced and became one of my regular creams (along with olay regenerist ultra rich) and it's great for the day too especially if your skin is on the dry side or it's winter. even though it very rich and hydrating, it is completely NON greasy, in fact it has sort of an almost matte finish. if my face is looking shiny i can put this on and it actually cuts down the shine despite being ultra hydrating. i'm 25 with very acne prone skin that leans oily in the summer and very dry in the winter. issues besides being acne prone are fine lines and uneven skin tone. this does not clog my pores at all too which is a major plus. i haven't seen effects on my fine lines from this yet but it's only been about 3 maybe 4 weeks. i have noticed changes in skin tone though, big time. it is so much more even and glows. dark spots are significantly reduced already. textural issues (besides lines) such as old acne scars are majorly smoothed out too. i also use their hyaluronic serum and hydrating cleanser, both of which i also highly recommend
