I'm a Marine Corps Veteran currently working in law enforcement. My job requires a very professional appearance. I have thin, curly, crazy, frizzy, dry hair! For years I tried every gel, spray, pomade, etc. anything that dries hard caused severe stress and damage to my hair and everything that stayed pliable was either too oily or too gummy into hair. I was shocked and absolutely HOOKED the very first time I used Kenra 13!!! It smells amazing!!! It holds every last frizzy hair in place with no fly aways and if I do happen to mess up my hair on the job I can still run a comb straight through it without it ripping my hair out since it doesn't dry hard! It washes out easily with warm water and no matter how long my day is it never leaves those white flakes like gels and sprays that' make you look like you have dandruff! Hands down the best hair product I've ever used and I don't think I will ever find anything better!!!
I had high hopes for this after reading reviews for thick hair to fight frizzy ends and it does! However, I found the product to literally feel like taffy at first - it does feel lighter after rubbing in between hands. It also sections pieces nice, but I'm the type of girl who runs her fingers thru her hair every now and then and my fingers would get stuck:( Too much hold for me and my heavy, thick hair looked unnatural.

I have recently been cutting my hair more into faux hawk and wax was getting too heavy and greasy. asked my local Ulta employee and this was her recommendation. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! This stuff offers perfect amout of hold with flexibility and smell is an added bonus

I have been using this product for many years. I tried a couple of other options but I have always come back to this. I like a messy look and I am still amazed at how much it helps me get the look I want.

I bought this product to add hold to my curls--I have naturally fine, straight hair and I recently purchased a Dyson Airwrap. I was having trouble keeping the curls in, so I bought this taffy to add hold to my curls. It works great! Doesn't leave my ends greasy or weighed-down and helps smooth and define my curls.

A past hairdresser used this on me years ago and I've stayed with it ever since. I barely coat my hands and rub it lightly in as if you were running your fingers through. Gives me that bed head second day feeling and tames the fly aways. Hope they never discontinue.

Love this taffy! I used to use Paul Mitchell's Threads, but it was discontinued. So, this ended up becoming my new best friend!

It made my frizzy bangs look groomed and gave it that separated look that I was after. Love it!

This is my everyday go-to for taming fly aways and making my natural curls sit perfectly without the frizz

Just learning how to use this product has been fun. Usually use wax and this is nothing like wax. It is a lot lighter and not the same hold as wax.

I love how this product really adds an boost to the texture in my hair. Great smell. Absolutely a must have.

My favorite way to use this is First applying heat protectant and then sectioning off strands, applying a very small amount, and then brushing through and then using my curling iron. Creates soft bouncy tamed curls everytime. No fly always. Healthy looking hair. The smell is delicious. No sticky feel left on the hair. I would NOT recommend kenras hot spray though as a heat protectant. Contains alcohol and leaves hair feeling horrible dry stiff and crunchy.

This product lets me style my hair with ease. I like the way it allows me to piece it out. It is not sticky, and it has a good smell.

I have a pixie and bought this after seeing someone use it on a YouTube video. I've tried it several times but it just makes my hair look very greasy. I like a drier feel to a wax or pomade and this is just way too sticky. Not a fan.

I normally use Bedhead Putty (blue product) and I wanted to try this product after watching a "how-to" video on Instagram for a hairstyle I really liked. My hair is very curly, coarse and I have it cut in a pixie-style - I was going for the P!NK hairstyle if you know what I mean. I wash my hair every night and after washing, I apply a leave-in conditioner, blow dry serum and shine spray (I tried Kenra's shine spray and I do NOT recommend at all!). The following morning, I normally use a styling putty to manipulate my hair in a messy look. I tried this product and at first, I thought it would work great because of the videos I watched. The product is very sticky and is extremely hard to work with. It doesn't manipulate very well and left my hair feeling like I had way too many products on it. I tried this on 2 different occasions and both times all I wanted to do was wash my hair and get all of the goop out. I don't recommend this product for anyone with curly hair trying to style your hair "pixie-like".

I put in on wet hair before blowing/styling.
I use it as a finishing agent to spike and separate.

I use this to keep my hair firmly in place for work in the operating room. I needed something that would keep tendrils from escaping my French braids and OR scrub caps, especially when wearing PPE in the time of COVID. This definitely gets the job done! However, I cannot abide by the horrible, sickly sweet, artificial strawberry taffy, and overpowering smell. It's awful, something a six-year-old would pick out for themselves and not something a discerning adult wants wafting about and overwhelming her own fragrance choice (ie, Gucci, Dior, Chanel). Yes, Kenra probably wanted to reinforce the "taffy" product name with something that evoked a mental image of taffy, but this is ridiculous! Even with my hair covered and while wearing a mask, the smell continues to gag. For that matter, when outdoors and hair uncovered, the smell continues to bother. And I am someone who adores fragrance! After all, my name translates to "fragrance, smell, scent."
Also, the packaging takes up too much space. It is ridiculously bulky and if one wanted to pack for a trip (wishful thinking in the time of COVID), it takes up double the space it should. And as that bulk is plastic, presumably unrecycleable, it is unconscionable waste. KENRA -- take heed -- there is no need for so much plastic packaging and consider your target consumer -- child or discerning adult when adding "fragrance."

I buy this for my son. It holds his hair in place and smells amazing!!!! Big fan of Kenra products!

I love this product and have used it for years. It gives my hair a little more volume and makes it so easy to style. Sometimes I forget to use it, and I can immediately tell.

I use a bit all over my hair. Just for body and hold down the sides that want to grow straight out.

I use Kenra texturizing taffy every day. I love how it holds my hair and my grandson says it smells delicious.
Paula from Fresno
I use it after I dry my (thick) hair. A little goes a long way. Doesn't leave my hair greasy or heavy like other products I've used.
