LOVE this affordable straightener!!!
My Remington straightener died a couple days ago and I wanted to buy a nice titanium one because I use my straightener daily (for curling or straightening) and my ceramic one was KILLING my hair. I have had everything from CHI, Remington, and hot tools but I am so thankful I came across this afforda...

Works well for fine hair
I like this product and it serves its purpose. For someone with fine hair who does not need high high heat, daily use and is on a budget it works wonderfully. However the plates do not close evenly across the iron. The only place the plates touch are at the tip of the iron, when you put hair through...

Cheaply made
This flat iron is cheaply made and if you drop it good luck. I purchased a flat iron previously from Conair Jilbere De Paris. That flat iron was made with quality and has lasted years. I bought 2 at the time and I should've bought 10. They don't make them anymore. They could have simply raised the price on the Jilbere instead of putting a poor quaility flat iron in its' place.
The best
I rewlly liked it so fast to straighten your hair while still able to grab good amount of hair
Not good for thick hair
It takes for ever to heat up and it's not good for thick hair, even when I did it in sections. Going to return.
Would not buy again
I got this for Christmas from my boyfriend and the plastic is literally melting and peeling. I've used it three times.

Mine melted
The plastic around it has melted into my hair.

Does this flat iron work with curly tangled African-American hair?
- Asked by Miss Jay

I see there are two sizes of this flat iron. I've always gone with the smaller ones, but what's the difference? Is it faster to use the wider one or does it have more coverage? Also, my hair is thick & medium length, what is the appropriate temperature to use without frying my hair? I know a lot of flat irons can go up to over 400 degrees, but really who uses it that high? Thanks!
- Asked by cathy
- Verified Reply - Brand ExpertHello Cathy, The size is what makes the curls either larger (loose) or smaller (tighter). This is strictly a preference of yours. It is not faster to use the wider one. If your hair is thick & medium length you can use the 400 degree temperature but you don't leave the iron on the hair as long. Many people with thick hair do use the high temperature as that is all that works for them. All of this is a trial and error procedure but the product can do whatever you direct it to do. It is a great item. Thanks, JustineWas this answer helpful to you
