after giving birth to my second child i had sooo much postpartum hair fall out. my hair was soooo long thick and beautiful and basically everytime i brushed or took a shower i would fill up the hair brush and clumps falling out in shower. I am terribly upset and my confidence definitely declined. i recently lost alot of weight so between postpartum and loosing 60lbs in 6 months the hair was so thin and frizzy and fragile. i bought this product that was recommended from an ulta employee who suffered with hair fall out as well after birth and she gave me hope. i will say my baby hairs are thicker and my scalp feels healthy and my frizzy hair is gone! people who are looking for hair growth you will get when your scalp is healthy and this is definitely making my head feel and look good. my confidence is coming back again.

First 2 days of use it made my hair thicker and enhanced natural curl. After using for 7 days, hair began falling out (several strands while washing and more during comb out) and was getting dry. Switched to different product and hair stopped falling out

The Nioxin System Kits are designed to work together to cleanse, optimize, and treat your hair and scalp. Each kit includes a cleanser shampoo, a scalp therapy conditioner, and a scalp and hair treatment. Starting with these three products will lay the foundation for healthier, fuller-looking hair. After using the System Kit consistently for a few months, you can then consider adding an extra product, such as Hair Fall Defense Serum. Hair Fall Defense is designed for daily use, it's clinically proven to increase hair anchorage, stimulate and nourish the hair follicles to prolong the growth cycle and improve hair resistance for fuller-looking hair. To use together shampoo, condition, towel dry hair. Apply Hair Fall defense Serum, apply 2-4 pumps of Scalp & Hair Thickening Treatment. For a better result how often should I wash my hair? Everyday or every other day?

Please utilize the following Manufacturer’s directions for our three step Nioxin systems. When using Nioxin we recommend for best results that you use all three products that make up our Nioxin systems daily. These products are the Nioxin Scalp Cleanser (Shampoo), Scalp Therapy (Conditioner) and Scalp Treatment. We realize that most do not wash their hair daily. However, please note you will still see the results, just not as quickly as those who wash their hair daily. 1. Apply shampoo on damp hair and scalp. Give your scalp and hair a good cleaning prior to rinsing. 2. Next, apply conditioner onto scalp and hair. Massage onto scalp and pull through the length of the hair leaving on for up to 3-minutes. Rinse. 3. Towel dry your hair. Once you have towel dried your hair, shake the Hair Treatment, apply onto the scalp, and gently massage over areas of concern or entire scalp. You will only need 3-4 pumps for the entire scalp. Follow up by gently combing through hair. You should not wash the Hair Treatment out; simply dry and style as usual. Is this product sulfate free?

- Official Answer By Nioxin - Brand EngageIt is not sulfate free. The appearance of a sulfate in a shampoo does not automatically determine the "safeness" of the product. What you need to know is that sulfates are the ingredient that cleanses the hair. One would need to consume a large quantity of them to have negative results. We use only the highest-grade sulfates – which provide cleansing necessary without pulling color or damaging the hair. Optimal levels are contained in our products which leave the hair clean without over drying. We offer a very nourishing formula overall, which is gentle on the skin and hair. The SLS (sulfates) used are in the international regulatory permitted range, they have been tested extensively for decades to ensure customer health and safety. Most of what we hear is a myths that come from a "sulfate free" marketing campaign or company. Harsh sulfates will most likely always pull color from the hair and cause dryness. Gentle sulfates with the proper formulation of other ingredients will keep hair color in longer than most sulfate free shampoos. Sulfate free shampoos most often do not cleanse the hair thoroughly enough to rid it of dirt, oils, product and environmental debris. This causes more dirt to attach to the hair and the formation of free radicals. Free radicals cause the fading of hair color. To protect color treated hair we have the Pro-Color Shield technology that prolongs hair color. All of our products are tested extensively to ensure their safety for consumer use. Is the treatment supposed to be on wet hair? Dry hair? How much product should be used each time?

- Official Answer By Nioxin - Brand EngageOn days that you shampoo you hair you will also use with Treatment. On damp/towel dried scalp apply 2-4 pumps and massage onto scalp. This is a leave on treatment and you may style as usual immediately after applying. I find that is works best to dispense the liquid on my fingertips and use them to apply the product, rather than squirting the product directly on the scalp.Was this answer helpful to you
