To be fair, I don't recall what possessed me to buy this product. I do not need additional volume in my life at all. I normally use Purology Strength Cure, so I was looking for something a little cheaper...but I don't know how I arrived here. Anyway, this was a poor choice for my hair and hair type....

Almost as drying as clarifying shampoo
Bought this during the jumbo love event because I've been using Joico for years and judt wanted to give my hair a break from my usual products. I'll be going back to Joico after I finish this bottle. This formula dries my hair out so much and doesn't give me any volume. I used to love Redken back when I bought the gold formula to nourish my hair when I bleached it, but this formula is a miss. Very disappointing considering I bought one jumbo shampoo and two jumbo conditioners.
Leaves a nasty film/residue!
I had a really bad patch of film/residue on the back of my head for months that had me perplexed. I tried medicated shampoos and clarifying but I never put 2+2 together and realized it was this shampo! Apparently, it has "plumping" ingredients that can attach to your hair and cause buildup. I read a lot of experiences online about it. I love Redken products, but this one is a miss!

Perfect for low porosity, oily, fine hair!
I recently have been on a hair journey to curate a hair care routine for my fine, oily, low porosity roots and medium porosity ends from bleaching. When I say I have tried high end, drug store, etc… I mean it! You can see a visible sheen and plump to my roots that I haven't seen before. I love this stuff!!!

Opened: Once opened, they have a shelf life of 12 months. How to check your bottle: Look for the PAO (Period After Opening) Symbol: On the back of the bottle near the ingredients or barcode, you will see a small icon of an open jar with "12M" printed inside. This indicates the product is at its best for 12 months after the first use. Watch for changes: If the shampoo or conditioner has changed in texture (clumpy or separated), color, or scent, it’s a sign that it is past its prime and should be replaced.
