I got a brand new bottle, when open it looks mid-dark orange, is it oxidized? Or is that the right color? The online pictures look tinted but depending on settings I can't tell if it should be light tinted orange or mid-dark color? Please advise

There’s a disclaimer on the box recommending to keep the product out of sunlight. Expensive, NOT as effective as C+E+Ferulic Acid...
I purchased this ONCE from Ulta a few years back. I found this product to be unremarkable. I then shifted to serums that include Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Acid, which has greater benefits than C alone but is much more expensive. I eventually tired of the high cost of all these products. I now just make my own C+E+Ferulic Acid! Most women don't realize that the combination of C+E+Ferulic Acid is the key to the best results. Vitamin C is good as an antioxidant, it brightens the skin, reduces hyperpigmentation, and stimulates collagen production. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant that moisturizes and nourishes the skin's barrier to protect the skin from environmental damage and has anti-aging properties. Ferulic Acid is a plant-based antioxidant that stabilizes Vitamin C and Vitamin E by enhancing their effectiveness and extending their shelf life of the product. Either way, I will never go back to buying any of these products; my DIY C+E+Ferulic is superior at a very low cost!
Decent product, lovely smell, just pricey.
I've been using this for a few weeks now, and out of the 15+ vitamin C serums I've ever used this is in the top 5. It's effective, it absorbs quickly, and it smells great (smells like fresh orange to me). I feel like it has helped my fine lines the most, it's just okay for discoloration. The reason it only gets 3 stars is first, the price. Yikes. There are other vitamin C serums out there that are $50 or less and work just as good. Second, this pills like CRAZY. I normally use my vitamin C in the morning, but this does not play well with other products. I've tried several SPF's with this and they all pill terribly. For me, it's not a huge deal, I just use this product at night instead and have swapped my nightime serum to daytime use, but it's definitely annoying considering the price of this. If you're looking to splurge and can afford it, this is a nice product. Otherwise, there are better and cheaper options out there.
It really works
I've been using this serum for about 6 weeks now and I am really impressed by how much this has lightned the dark spots and discoloration on my face. I haven't had any irritation with this product at all and it doesn't have a bad smell like most products with ferulic acid. My only complaint is that this serum will pill with other products. I tend to only use sunscreen on top of this and even then it can pill up. I have found that if I mix a few drops of the pycnogenol serum from the Ordinary in with this it does help keep it from pilling. Overall, I am very pleased with how well this actually works. My skin looks amazing. My complexion is much brighter and even. I just think for the price, there shouldn't be any issues with the formula.
Not absorb
Even though this serum smell great and skin felt really soft right away, my skin did not absorbed this product. It clumped even when i tried it alone, with same brand moisturizer. I had to return it.
