In the past I have preferred mousses for my curls, and was excited to try Ouidad's mousse. While my curls stayed for days, so found it leaves my hair crunchy and my curls stringier than I like. I used what I thought was a moderate amount but will try with a very small amount.

Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I have not ever been a mousse girly - I've always used balms and cream products for my very curly/coily hair. I tried this on a whim (I have been pleased with Ouidad products before). I applied this after washing, conditioning and detangling, raking it through my hair in sections. Then I styled with a Denman brush and dried with a diffuser. The good news is, this is the best hold and definition product I have ever used. It is lightweight, smell is minimal, and the hold is STRONG. My curls were bouncy, defined and frizz free until I washed my hair on day 6. DAY 6! I've never had a product keep my curls looking good for that long. I didn't do anything more than a little water spray in the morning, sometimes with a pick, to shake out the bed head. My curls needed no extra product. My only complaint is that for as good as my hair looked, it was also the most tangled it has ever been once I was ready to wash and style again. I do think the mousse is more drying than my typical cream products, hence the 1 star deduction. Other than that, this stuff is *chef's kiss. I will repurchase.
