I've tried thermal protection sprays from Cantu and Aussie and they both make my hair feel hair and brittle. I can say even as African American woman, my hair type is short, but very thick, and I still love this product. It smells really great and I am glad this was my first CHI product.

Im sure this product itself works, but it makes my hair super sticky and feels like it makes my hair more knotted and hard to run a brush through. Will not be purchasing again.

so i recently got this just to test it, and it is ok but far from great. it doesnt spray well, it smells terrible and really strong and it doesnt even hold a curl and it just frizzes back up when i use it to straighten. it also leaves my hair feeling sticky and disgusting I DONT RECCOMEND

Hair Type Straight Hair

I usually use Redken thermal spray and thought I would give Chi a try. Chi does not have the hold that Redken does.
