The Original Laura Mercier Technique: Working into Velour Puff by folding and rubbing the halves together. Tap off excess. 'Press and Roll' to apply.
Use a lightly saturated Secret Brightening Powder Brush in smaller areas.

TRANSLUCENT -- for all over setting and baking
ROSE -- for all over brightening on fair skin
MINT -- for minimizing redness all over or in key areas

I tried the rose color and it was perfect for my skin. I don't usually use a setting powder, as I was always worried it would settle into my fine lines and look dry but this doesn't do that all! It actually does help my skin and makeup look better and last longer! I am happy I was able to try this and it is now part of my Makeup routine!

I enjoyed this setting powder as the final step in my makeup routine. It helps cover redness around and on my nose. What I loved: - The product is lightweight and easy to apply. - The powder eliminates shine and provides a nice finishing touch. - The color softens redness and gives my overall complexion a smoother, more even appearance. - The powder properly sets makeup in place as a final step. What could be better: - The coverage is a bit light, though it can be built up if more is needed to achieve the desired look. I would recommend it as a final step, especially if redness is a concern. If you have been around the beauty world at all then you know that Laura Mercier is known for her setting powder. This powder left my skin looking flawless. As a woman over the age of 50, I was concerned that the powder would set in my fine lines around my eyes. This was not the case. My skin looked great without looking dry. The powder does keep your makeup for an entire day. My skin coloring is fair. The next time I purchase this I will opt for a pink shade or translucent. My son isn't very red and the mint shade is used to cover redness. My only complaint is that the packaging indicates that a velour puff should be used to apply the powder. However, the puff is not included. For the price point, I feel that the puff should be included. I did receive the powder free in exchange for my honest review.

The instructions said to use a velour puff which I did not have. I used a big fluffy brush instead. I liked the consistency and the green definitely minimized redness but I just feel like it was a little too matte for my mature skin. It would definitely be better for younger skin.
