It is no secret Laura Mercier is known to the powder queen so it was only right that I try the new and improved velour puff and of course not surprise that I love and enjoyed using it. I love how soft it feels on your face and how precisely it applies powder without picking up too much product to waste and even the distribution process was nice. It gave me a even amount of powder distribution and didnt cake up on my face while using it from grabbing too much powder or not enough. I love how I can literally use this puff for ANY powder and it makes it look great and even powders I didnt like it made look good. I gently pat my powders into my skin or I will bake with powder using the Velour Puff so I have longer lasting and super blurring makeup. A lot of other puffs tend to pick up too much product which is so wasteful especially if you paid a good price for it and also other puffs will leave heavy product on some areas of your face then other areas. Very pleased and will be continuing to purchase.
I was sent this from influenster (very thankful). I was very interested in using this since, it pleased my aesthetic eye (it looks cute and seemed cute with the powder). Firstly, I noticed the sponge was very like, tall (when sitting flat), and I personally wasn't a fan of that as it seemed kind of awkward to hold it (it was just too big). Hopefully that makes sense, but in other words I didn't like the size of it. It seems like a relatively nicely produced sponge, decent quality but better than the ones that normally come with pressed powders. I tried this a couple times, and I was not a fan at. all. It made me look very cakey as it applied too much powder and was a mess when 'dipping' into my setting powder. Honestly, it could just be user (me) error as I don't ever usually use powder puffs like these so it's new to me, but I did try it about 5-6 times to see if i'd get better or something would change to where I'd actually like using it but never did. I always looked cakey in places I never do (my nose especially, since she'll basically dissolve all powders at some point). I'm also not sure how to wash it, I've just tapped any excess powder once im done with it to try to get everything out. I'll keep trying it every once in a while and if anything changes, ill be sure to update and include an 'edit' in my review.
Pairs well with setting powder. Love how soft it feels in my face.
Not blown away, stiff kinda rough and pretty sure it transfers whatever product you have on already.
I'll admit I have the small powder so I tap it onto the puff. It's large and I haven't perfected the roll technique. Seems to be high quality
Love love love
It just adds a smoothness that a beauty blender or brush can't do .
Only puff in store, but worth it! Nice soft blending puff!
