Has the Sebastian Texturizer been discontinued? I've been using it for over 10 years and it's the best! If so, is there a substitute? Hopefully, it's not a foam type product as that does not work for me. I have very curly hair and it's the only product that can mold, hold and define my curl. I don't mind if it's a little sticky if it holds the same way.

Is this,or any of the Sebastian products, tested on animals ?
- Asked by Cindylou shoe
- Verified Reply - Staff ExpertHere's P&G's official policy on animal testing. P&G is the parent company of Sebastian. We hope this helps! :-) P&G products are used in homes two billion times a day around the world. We are committed to improving lives with high-quality products while safeguarding the health of our consumers. Sometimes, as a last resort, we must conduct research involving animals to ensure materials are safe and effective. Our Approach • We are a leader in alternatives to animal testing, investing more than $190 million and helping to develop more than 50 proven alternative methods. • We collaborate with governments and academia to promote acceptance of alternatives. We actively share our discoveries so that others can benefit from our progress, and our work has appeared in more than 300 scientific publications. • We approach our research with respect, openness and responsibility by using animals as a last resort, working with animal welfare organizations and ensuring high standards of care. Consumer Goods Research Policy: In the past, scientific and legal requirements meant that safeguarding consumers' health invariably involved the use of animal tests. Governments tell us that it is currently not possible to avoid all animal use and maintain the same levels of health protection. At the same time, some of our consumers tell us they want to see more progress on use of alternatives. We therefore work with interested partners to develop alternatives that offer the same level of health protection as current animal-based tests and we will help promote their acceptance. We are also working with governments around the world to challenge remaining legal requirements to test on animals and to find other options wherever possible. In this way we will work to limit and ultimately eliminate animal testing for chemicals. In the meantime, we do not test our products on animals unless forced to do so by law. Our Practices • Research involving animals is a last resort at P&G. It is only considered once every other reasonable option has been exhausted. • The vast majority of our tests do not use animals. Whenever possible, we use computer models, synthetic materials, published scientific studies and what our consumers tell us about the products they use. • We seek input from the world's leading experts to continuously improve our approach, and have stopped working with researchers who do not meet our high measures. • We continue to foster independent review of our standards and inspection of our facilities by leaders in the field of animal care. Was this answer helpful to you

I currently use Sebastian Thickery Foam on my pixie short, thin, fine, coloured hair. I also use Sebastian Shaper Spray Plus. I find the two together can make my hair feel dry. I'm wondering how Texturizer compares to Thickery. Would it be a good option to add texture and especially volume to my hair? In the end, I like a shiny, healthy, full look but can't use oil sprays or creams because most weigh my hair down.
- Asked by SkinnyHair
- Verified Reply - Staff ExpertTexturizer is a flexible bodifying liquid gel which builds a light foundation for shape with a soft hair hold. Thickify Foam is a weightless thickener liquid-to-foam formula that thickens and conditions, weightlessly holding finer hair into place. You could use the Texturizer for texture, and Thickify Foam for volume. Was this answer helpful to you

Great Non-Drying Product
I was on a Royal Caribbean cruise and had my hair cut. The stylist recommended I stop using the mousse I had used for several years. She said it was drying out my hair. She used this texturizer and my hair was easier to style and held even in the humid cruise weather. Of course I bought it. I w...

Wonderful product. I've been using it for over 30 years.
Defined waves. Zero frizz
My hair: very fine, porous, color-treated, amd wavy. Been searching for something that i can use to air dry that still gives me some body and brings out my texture. This product is phenomenal. My waves are wavier, my hair is shiny, and there is NO FRIZZ. If you have really fine hair, you know that struggle. After drying, I rubbed the smallest amounts of oil in my hands and scrunched out the cast. This is my new go to.
Do not use if you have gray/white hair
I couldn't figure out what was causing my white hair to suddenly become yellowish pink. I put some product on a white kleenex and found my answer. I wasn't impressed with the claim it adds texture.
Holds well

I've only used this a couple times and it seems to hold well and the scent is nice. Definitely not my favorite though.
I'd buy this product over and over again!
