Essence The Super Peptide Glossy Lip Treatment

I had decided to pass on these but then I got 2 of them for Christmas. I'm blown away, they are really really impressively good. I've always been a lip product person, I've been trying several of the peptide ones lately and this ranks up with some of the much higher priced ones. I have the clear one and the pink one. the pink one is not too pigmented but I can see the color on my lips and it's perfect for me. the scent is very light but very pleasant, I didn't notice any taste chemically or otherwise. this feels so nice on the lips and the part that I'm most impressed by is how long it lasts. it's a lip balm so they're never going to last that long but when compared with others like the one from ole henriksen, Tower 28 or whatever the number is, provence, and laneige this one's staying power is better than all of those others. look, it's not by much, it isn't going to last forever but I put some on right before dinner last night and did not try to eat carefully. there was still probably a quarter or a third of the product left when I was done, definitely enough to be noticeable and my lips were still comfortable. the only other peptide lip that I've tried that has better lasting power than this is the one from rituel de fille but that's like 25 dollars. I'm struggling to understand how some people did not find this moisturizing. it's so comfortable and nice on and it feels as moisturizing as any other nice lip balm out there. I think I'll try the other 2 colors and I hope this is a product they don't stop making and that they don't reformulate. it's really really good.

Did not have high hopes for this just bc of the price alone. Its stunning. Packaging is perfect, but the balm itself excels where most luxury priced balms do not. Not sticky in the slightest but it lasts! And when it is gone your lips feel moisturized, not like they need more. Please add more colors!

I got my order later in the afternoon, so I put it on before bed last night. It stayed on all night, I am not sure how much it hydrated my lips because they still looked a bit dry this morning. I will put it on throughout the day today to see if there is a difference.

I've been in the hunt for my favorite peptide lip treatment after trying Rhode and Olehenriksen, which I loved. However I cannot justify the prices of those and how frequently I go through lip balms and treatments, as I live in Colorado where it's very dry and I have to reapply lip products constantly. I tried this one originally in the Peptacular! (Clear) and was instantly blown away. I actually like it better than the high end ones- it's more balm like, but not as sticky as the other two. My lips have noticeably gotten softer and more plump and cushiony. I purchased the rest of the shades and they perform just as well as the clear. Please Essence, never discontinue this product!!

This clear gloss is nicely thick, moisturizing, clear and has no tingle in it. This is perfect for overnight and it lasts all night long. Very moisturizing and i only wish it came in a larger component!! Don't hesitate, buy this. I'll be buying more for stocking stuffers for my coworkers!!
