I was going to use this for sectioning my hair when I curl it but this clips do not grip the hair well. You have to make you hair sections super small for it to not slip. I have long, thick, wavy hair, and use these when styling my hair. I wish the clips held a bit more hair in them, but using multiple to hold a section of hair has been working fine. I definitely need all 6 clips though!
