Hair is a lot less frizzy

Some background on my hair: It is medium thick, comes down to my shoulder blades, medium coarse. It often poofs out into a triangle shape and is extremely frizzy. I would describe my hair as pretty dry and brittle because I end up with lots of flyaways even though I rarely use a hair tie; the ends a...lso end up sort of crispy when I get a lot of split ends. I never use a hair dryer, curling or flat iron, and I hate being in cars with windows open (so it's not wind damaged). I wash my hair every other day so I don't over dry it with the shampoo. I shampoo only the roots and condition the ends. The product: I have been using the Frizz Wrangler in conjunction with The Guardian. I've used this product four times, so this review comes a little over a week after starting to use this product. My hair is noticeably less frizzy and does not end up that poofy triangle shape. I've been asking my friends if they see any difference and they agree my hair looks more well managed, but we aren't sure it feels any softer. (The ends aren't crispy yet because I just had a hair cut to trim dead ends off.) Some things I noticed about this product: It does not strip all the oils from your hair when you wash. Whenever I use Suave, Treseme, teatree oil, you name it, I've tried it, I can feel that the oils have been completely stripped from my scalp., making conditioning a must. After washing my scalp still feels like it has some oils. I was concerned it wasn't washing enough and that my hair would be really oily, but after a week of use that does not feel like the case. My scalp still feels light and ungreasy when my hair finally dries. I also haven't needed to increase the amount of hair washing, so not stripping all the oils doesn't seem to have any negative effects. On ease of use: this product takes a little getting used to. The idea of rubbing a solid bar in your hair sounds weird and also is not an intuitively easy thing to do. I often end up getting hair all over the bar if I do this. What I have been doing is rubbing it on the part of my hair just to get some there and sort of warm the bar up, but then I actually lather it in my hands like a bar of soap and use the lather to wash my hair. I need to do this since my hair is pretty thick and reaching the underside and deep middle sections would be very difficult with the rubbing it directly on method. This method is not as easy with the conditioner bar. The shampoo bar melts a little bit making this process easier, while the conditioner bar does not seem to do this. For the conditioner bar, I rub it on the ends of my hair, use the lather method to coat my hands and run them through the ends. I then comb my hair to try and help distribute it through the ends. I definitely don't feel like I'm using as much conditioner as I do with traditional conditioner, but I have not had any problems brushing my hair. So yes, I would definitely recommend this product for people with dry, thick, frizzy hair. I'm hoping to try the kiwi bar for finicky scalps soon since I have eczema on one side of my scalp. This product has not inflamed the eczema, but it also hasn't helped it heal.
