The Hair Edit kindly gave me this French hair pin for free so that I could review it. The hair pin is made of a very durable, thick plastic. It does not feel fragile or easily breakable. I am very disappointed in this large plastic "tortoiseshell" hair clip because it constantly falls out whenever I use it. At the same time, I also bought the large gold metal hair clip & the large silver knotted metal hair clip, but I do not have any problems using both of these metal hair pins! All three of these hair pins are all the same size, so I should not have any problem with this plastic hair pin always falling out. Unfortunately I had already thrown away the packaging so I could not exchange the plastic hair pin for a silver knotted hair pin. As a grandma, I have used many different types of hair pins over the years, but I have not had any problem with falling out! Do not buy this large plastic "tortoiseshell" hair pin!

love this pin! i was worried since my hair is on the thinner side but i have found so many ways to style it. it is super sturdy and durable so i think ppl of all hair types will enjoy this!
