Great Non-Drying Product
I was on a Royal Caribbean cruise and had my hair cut. The stylist recommended I stop using the mousse I had used for several years. She said it was drying out my hair. She used this texturizer and my hair was easier to style and held even in the humid cruise weather. Of course I bought it. I w...

Pass on this pretty bottle, terrible product!
Thankful that Ulta has a return policy because this went right back to the store. It really didn't give me the results that I hoped to have from the description. I felt like it made my hair oily and I really didn't see any softness or shine.

It added nice shine, but it left my hair feeling stiff
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I like that this spray added noticeable shine and helped my style look polished, but it made my hair feel stiff and hard after applying it. I was expecting a lightweight finishing spray, so the hold was stronger than I anticipated. It does control flyaways, but if you prefer soft, touchable hair, this may not be the best fit. It may work better with styles that need an extra hold.

Better than the original!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really enjoyed this product! I was already a big fan of the original formula so I love how this is non aerosol. Personally I prefer these types of hairsprays better. It made my blowout last all day and after I brushed it through, it left no crunch. Definitely recommend!

Great!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a really neat hair spray! It comes in a really sleek can with a spritzer nozzle. It sprays a really fine mist in a pretty large area and I was pleased with that. It's very weightless and acts like hair spray. It helped keep my shape all day long. It's light enough though where you can keep messing and playing with your hair with it in. I love it!!

Just ok
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This works pretty well! I think it does what it says it will do but I think it might not be worth the price tag of it. I will probably use it when I remember.

I would buy again.
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The scent of this product is overall very appealing. I do find that it controls my frizzy hair which I throughly like. After using this brush I always brush my hair out and my hair is super shiny and slick afterwards. Definitely protects from heat which is super nice.

- Q
Is this product 80 Voc or 50 Voc?
- Asked by Lisa
- Official Answer By SebastianThe VOC is no longer listed on our Shaper products. Depending which state you are purchasing in will determine the VOC of the can received. Due to VOC Regulation in certain states for the Reduction of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) in aerosol products, all manufacturers have been required to stop selling any hair finishing sprays with VOC content over 50 to the following states. AZ, CO, CT, DE, IL, IN, ME, MD, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, UT, VT, VA, CA, and DC. Here's a breakdown of the information about Sebastian Shaper hairsprays with different VOC levels: • No difference in hold: The holding power of Shaper Plus is the same whether it's the 50%, 55%, or 80% VOC versions. • VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compound: These are chemicals that evaporate easily at room temperature. In hairspray, they are used as propellants. • LVOC = Low Volatile Organic Compound: Shaper uses a low level of VOCs. • Drying time: ◦ Lower VOC versions might take slightly longer to dry and may feel slightly wetter initially compared to the 80% VOC version. ◦ There's minimal difference in drying time between 50% and 55% VOC versions. • Key takeaway: The main difference between the various VOC levels in Shaper products lies in their environmental impact and potential for contributing to air pollution. The lower the VOC percentage, the more environmentally friendly the product is. However, this doesn't affect the hairspray's hold or how it feels in your hair. Was this answer helpful to you

With this update, the brand has focused on modernizing the delivery system and refining the spray actuators to ensure a more consistent and reliable application.
