Not great

This shampoo is not the best. It definitely is sensitive skin/scalp friendly and I appreciate that it has no scent. However it does not lather well, I had to use quite a bit of product to be able to wash my hair throughly. It also left my hair feeling quite dry and extremely tangly/hard to brush. I ...

I received this product in return for an honest review. I really like this product. It does not weigh down fine hair, and leaves my scalp and hair feeling and smelling fresh. Limited ingredients are a huge bonus. I really enjoy this shampoo!

{California Naturals sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program.} As someone who suffers from systemic lupus erythematosus, I frequently suffer from a very irritated and itchy scalp, while also dealing with hair loss. I have to be incredibly mindful of products I use on my hair and skin, so I was excited to try this shampoo. It is a clear, thick, and concentrated gel texture that lathers quite nicely. My hair and scalp feels cleansed of oil and product buildup, with zero added irritation (thus far) and without stripping my bleached/color-treated hair. You will definitely need a moisturizing conditioner after use though, especially if your hair is longer or color-treated. (I was also gifted the California Naturals Super Moisture Conditioner in Summer Fig scent, which pairs nicely with this shampoo). The ONLY change I would make, and I removed one star ⭐️ over personal preference only, is that while this is fragrance free for sensitive scalps, it has that "unscented product smell" to it. While I do need a gentle product, I personally prefer my shampoo and conditioner to have a gentle, clean scent, but the performance is top notch!

I absolutely love this shampoo! I struggle with an itchy scalp and it actually helps soothe it. I also love I can use it on my daughter's hair since she has a sensitive scalp. It's great that it's actually unscented. It made my hair so soft and shiny too! I highly recommend this product. I'm looking forward to trying other products from this brand.

I don't have a sensitive scalp but I can see how someone who does would love this shampoo. There is barely any scent - I smell a very faint scent of green tea. The shampoo lathers up nicely and cleans my hair well. The bottle was tough to open when I first got it.

This is such a nice and gentle shampoo. It cleanes my oily fine hair well and does not make my scalp itchy after washing.
