Step 1: Shampoo your hair and dry it completely. Do not use conditioner or any additional hair treatments. Apply petroleum jelly around your hairline to prevent staining and wear protective gloves. Perform a strand test with your color(s) to ensure you'll love the result on your current base. If your strand test results are not to your liking, you may need to change your color plan or lighten your base further before proceeding.
Step 2: Pour all chosen hair colors into Arctic Fox bowls. For best results, mix your color in a bowl first to evenly distribute the pigment, even if you're using a single shade! Never apply straight from the bottle! Section your hair based on the desired look. For full coverage, work with small sections. If you're creating money pieces, section out the front strands. For a split dye effect, part your hair down the middle.
Step 3: Apply the color evenly in small sections using the Arctic Fox brush. Leave it in for at least 30 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse your hair in cold water, making sure to keep the color away from your face.
Pre-caution: External use only. Avoid using on irritated or injured scalp. Not for eyelashes or eyebrows. Patch test first. May stain skin, clothing, towels, surfaces.

Will this color gray hair?

It can be hard to say for sure since unbleached and/or gray hair can vary a lot in how well it takes color, but in general, if you stick with darker and more highly pigmented colors you should get at least a tint of color to gray hair! If your hair is more of a dark gray, the color might turn out a few shades darker and more subtle than it would look on lighter shades of hair, and unbleached hair does tend to lose color faster as well. Purple if you're note careful
I am a regular Arctic Fox user and i love their dye formula, but i will give my usual disclaimer first. This is a direct dye, VIVID formula. It bleeds. Everywhere. Profusely. Your sweat lines will be blue in your face. It stains things, and it starts fadeing pretty drastically in like a month, but thats what this formula is. If thas not what youre after, its not going to be your thing. Specific to this dye: this looks purple fresh from the tube and will absolutely pull that color if you dont have some yellow/blonde to pull out. Over dark hair itll take you a nice cool toned black, but over lightened hair, you will look more purple than blue if you arent a color theory master. That said, i love the color! Its just a bit tricky to get where you want it if blue-blue is the goal.
Not the color I was expecting
Before: red and green hair that faded so I decided to try Artic Fox purple tube and Artic Fox Aquamarine. It definitely was weird on my hair. The roots are grayed out red, then faded purple on the ends, not my favorite by them.
Great color refresher for blue black hair!
Love this! I used a shampoo that stripped some of the color out of my hair, which left me with a red/brown tint in some areas. After using this product my hair is a gorgeous, even, blue black again! I naturally have light hair and it did an okay job of covering the bit of roots I had growing out, though I'd say it looks more dark gray/blue rather than black. My scalp was stained blue but that's expected! It was perfect for what I was looking to achieve, smells AWESOME, didn't damage my hair, and didn't stain my tub/skin as badly as other glosses! love love love! Artic Fox is one of my favourite color brands! As someone who works ar Ulta, the brand is our top seller for Semi permanent, bold hair color! If youre looking for a blue that is extremely unique and doesnt fade to an ugly green i highly recommend! Love the new re-brand and packaging as well!
