With gloves, apply the Color Depositing Treatment Mask evenly to dry hair. Allow it to infuse for 10-15 minutes, embracing the transformation. You can leave it on longer for a deeper condition. Too much red/pink color

I was hoping for a warm fiery ginger color, but both this and the espresso brown turned my hair too pink! My hair is virgin, medium brown with muted reddish/blonde tones and some grays. I wanted to enhance the gingery tones in my hair, and the orange color of the cream was misleading compared to the final result. The pink tones were especially noticeable as the color faded. I need to wear natural colors at work, unfortunately this missed the mark.

Last two to three times I've ordered overtone I've been wondering why the green has been coming out so blue. It finally dawned on me that you guys changed the formula. It used to be a thicker cream-based treatment mask with a deep hunter green color. When you would wash the hair color out it would be a true green, now the formula is thinner, much bluer, and when you rinse the color out it leaves your hair closer to teal than it does green. Super disappointing

I've been a loyal customer of Overtone since 2020, and I can confidently say that the formula has changed, which I find very disappointing. I have tried shades from pastels to extreme pinks (reds and oranges too) in the past and have been satisfied with the outcome. The Desert Rose is a really tough adjustment. First of all it does not saturate the hair with barely any color, it's mostly just conditioner. Second of all, even though the test strand looked fine after I colored it, after I applied the color all over my head, it looked blotchy and uneven... Again, this has never happened to me previously as I had been a loyal customer for 5 years and followed application instructions by the book. Based on this and the bad delivery I had, I don't think I will be coming back as a customer.

I had previously dyed my hair a cherry cola color and this evened it out perfectly. It was a great refresh to my existing color and matched really well. This also left my hair feeling the most silky smooth it has felt in years. Not sure how well the color would show on my natural hair, but it was great for maintaining a professional dye. I recommend!
