Hair Type Wavy Hair
This is the best hair gel I have ever tried for defining my wavy hair. It is flexible hold so there is no crunchiness. There is also no stickiness. I apply this to my hands and then scrunch my hair with it and let it air dry. I have not used this with my diffuser. (I really like Paul Mitchel Tea Tree Lemon Sage Thickening Blowout Gel for use with the diffuser.) This Redken gel stays best with a coat of texturizing spray. My favorite texturizing spray is High Tide. So my waves come out really nicely with this Redken gel applied to damp hair. Then I let my hair dry for 20-30 mins and then apply the High Tide spray and my waves are beautiful all day long. This Redken gel is good for your hair too. It has jojoba & castor seed oils and squalane. The smell is a very nice soft floral scent. It does not leave any white flaking in my hair. It does not weigh down my waves. The only thing is it is expensive.

I spent hours looking for a product that would give my curly hair volume and not look like I was balding. I tried multiple items and normally use Redken shampoos, but never tried their styling products. Most of the styling products have been more store brand if that makes sense. Mostly heavy custard products. I needed to relearn how to use styling products and the diffuser and I am hoping that after this first time, my curls will at least last for 3 to 4 days with minimal need to add another product. I did try the curl cream, but found the scent is a very strong chemical smell.. if anything changes will reach back out and make additional comments
Only curly gel I've found that works for my fine 2b hair

After trying a handful of different curly hair gels with various price points this is the only gel I've found that has amazing hold without making my hair feel weighed down or sticky. I have very fine hair with a soft cuticle so my hair tends to get weighed down easily and can get overwhelmed with too much product but between this and the Redken Hydrating Curl Cream, they are a match made in curly hair heaven!
