not safe for eye area warning
this is an eyeshadow palette...but there is a warning on it that says not for use around eye area. my eyes got extremely irritated and itchy from using this palette. when I saw the warning i was shocked. I dont understand it, it just doesnt make sense. why make the palette if you cant use it on your eyes
perfect cooler toned color palette
it's really easy blendable and good to work with. the only trouble I had was with the dark bluish purple shade. I had to apply a pretty thick layer of eyeshadow primer where I used it
Decent
I think the colors in this palette are gorgeous, but the blue matte is really muted and looks much darker on the lid than expected. It was also patchy and I had trouble trying to smooth it out on the lid. The shimmers are all really beautiful. I find myself somewhat unsatisfied with the way the shadows apply, yet satisfied with the results. The shadows can feel very smooth on the eyes once you build it up enough, which I like. Not a bad palette by any means but if you like a pigmented eyeshadow, like I do, this might feel like it takes longer to work with.
Really amazing formula
this brand has really stepped it up. just wanted to point out based on other reviews that brightly coloured palettes regardless of brand are technically not "eye safe" since they can stain the skin that's all. Any colourful palette will mention the same thing.
Multichromes for under $20???
I can't believe how good this palette is for the price. There are MULTICHROMES in this palette! They are sheerer than indie brands that charge much more, but they can be built up. The mattes are nice, too. I believe some of these shades contain neon pigments. This is one of the most interesting palettes you'll be able to buy at Ulta, if not the most interesting at the moment. The stock photos don't do these shades justice! Multiple of the shades say they are not to be used on the eye area, but I think that's because the ingredients aren't approved for that use in the U.S. because they can stain your skin slightly. I did not experience any bad effects from using them as eyeshadow, just as I have not had issues using products with the same ingredients from other brands.
