Decent powder cleanser

This cleanser does what it says it will. It is incredibly gentle and is effective in cleansing the skin. It is safe to use 2x's a day without any fear of "over exfoliating". It foams up nicely and rinses clean without leaving any residue behind. My skin never feels stripped or dry after using this c...leanser. My issue with it is this…when water is added to the powder it congeals EVERY single time. No matter how much or how little water I use, no matter how much I make it foam…little clumps of product form together and there is no breaking them up. They do not get "rubbed" in and disintegrate with the rest of the cleanser. Instead, these congealed balls fall off my hands and face and end up in the sink. I've tried adding less powder (you don't need much to begin with!), tried adding more water, tried less water. Doesn't matter. It happens with every single use. I like this product and think it performs well other than this annoying set back. I own and use the Dermalogica daily micro exfoliant and while the concept is the same…the end result is completely different. Dermalogica is a finer powder. It has a little "grit" when first being massaged into skin which feels more like it's actually exfoliating. It never ever congeals or balls up. No wasted product falling off your face down the sink. It polishes the skin and brightens it. It is significantly more expensive but I do believe you get what you pay for. This Good Molecules cleanser is not a dupe. If you want to try an exfoliating powder at a decent price point, this product will suffice. I'm glad I tried it but will stick with Dermalogica. It offers me results I can actually see in my skin (clean, clear, smooth, bright, diminished lines, diminished dark spots).
