Should a primer (hydrating primer) be allowed to dry down before applying foundation. Sometimes my foundation seems to ball up when applied on top of any primer. Should I apply a moisturizer before or after the primerizer hydrating primer?

Apply your Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer + Hydrating Primer with Hyaluronic Acid after your moisturizer as the very last step of your skincare regimen prior to foundation application. Though the primer doesn't necessarily need to "dry down", it should still be relatively well-absorbed with the skin feeling bouncy. If you find that your foundation is pilling, consider cutting down the amount of primer in half to see if that helps!Was this answer helpful to you

Feels great on the skin!
I like the way this makes my skin feel. I use the Erborian CC cream as my foundation most days and I will say that I think this product would be better under an actual foundation vs. a tinted moisturizer. It did cause my CC cream to breakdown and get oily in my t-zone. Be careful when you squeeze this out, too. Because of its serum-like texture it's easy to squeeze a whole bunch out by accident.

This is my holy grail ride or die primer I always reach for. By using this one, I get the added hydration I do not need from an extra moisturizer prior to adding a primer. But I also get the results of a primer and moisturizer in one! It has no scent and it a gel-like texture that sinks into the skin quickly. It's the only one I use these days and I have normal to dry skin and works beautifully all year long. I have zero pilling with this as well with various foundations and skin tints.
