Desperately looking for your Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer (or whatever is its new equivalent). While I *like* some of your face primers, NOTHING gets rid of lines/crepe under the eyes like the under-eye primer (and it was better than the other face primers for other parts of the face, too). HELP! I get it that companies feel the need to "revamp" to appear new & fresh, but when you have a product this good, don't jack around your loyal customers, please! It was worth every penny in that tiny tube.

I received this product for free from Smashbox for testing and review purposes. I use it and it works really well for me. It is excellent at neutralizing oil without making the skin look "chalky." It creates a soft-focus, blurred effect that holds up well under heavy foundation or just on its own.

The Smashbox Oil Control matte finish primer is wonderful. Every late morning I've applied this to my face; mostly the t-zone (forehead, nose) area. However, I also applied it to my entire face and chin, all the places where I feel oily. I've used it alone and with makeup. The application and the texture of the product was smooth. I needed a bit more than the recommended pea sized amount. I wasn't a fan of the smell of the product, because it smelled more like witch hazel than anything else. The results were amazing, though. My face felt oil free all day! No joke! It felt like magic!! I'm not sure how this product works with only a few natural ingredients, but it was true to its name- matte oil control. I received this photo finish control mattifying primer several weeks ago and tried it right away. The product was scentless and went onto my skin incredibly smoothly. It truly felt like this provided great coverage and an even pallet for my makeup to rest on. The issue I found with this product was that when I put my powder foundation on after applying this primer, I found that the foundation caked in a lot of different places on my face; most noticeably on my nose, the sides of my nose and my forehead. I am still unclear if this issue is related to using a moisturizer before application, but unfortunately I need a moisturizer in the morning when I wash my face and apply makeup. The product definitely did mattify and help control oil, but the caking of my foundation led me to have to give it a lower rating. This stuff works! I typically get oily skin after about 8 hours of wearing foundation at my job. Not any more, I look in the mirror after I clock out and my makeup still looks like I just put it on. I was worried about the price point versus the size of the product, but you honestly don't need very much to get a matte finish.
