Nice volume
I have collarbone-length thin hair with absolutely no volume. I've used this Revlon Root Booster & I can say that it definitely gives noticeable volume at my roots. It has 3 heat settings (high, low, cool) & I tried using the low setting first. It does get hot so I try to work quickly to get through...

great for styling, terrible for hair health
i wanted to love this! i have the bigger one so when i chopped off my long hair, the smaller version seemed like a no brainer. but months later, i realize how much BREAKAGE i have! so many teeny tiny hairs standing roughly 3/4" from my scalp, no matter how i part my hair. save your sanity and your hair—so not worth it!
Don't buy!
This product is SO hot on the low setting! Revlon was kind enough to send me a replacement and the second one was the same! I could not style my hair without being in a lot of discomfort!
Better for short hair, wanted to love
I have medium-long hair. I normally use the round brush attachment on my Shark, but I wanted to try a smaller sized brush. The 1.5" is probably better for shorter hair. I wasn't able to get the tension right with my hair length, and I was ultimately left with lack luster results. The setting dial is hard to use if you are switching from low to cool/off to set the curl. My hair is shiny after using it, but I think that's just from the products I use. I had some residual frizz too. I think the hot setting would cause some serious hair damage. I will be returning.
Good Product for Fine Hair
I am pleased with this hair brush and styler. The heat is the right temperature for drying my hair. It is easy to use and gives my hair a full, fluffy look. My hair actually looks healthier.
Great for fine hair
Dries quickly, smooths it out, and is easy to use. Short fine hair and it worked really really well. Recommend!
