I bought this a few weeks ago and I can say I love this eyeliner. I have tried so many different ones even expensive brands and it just doesnt do the job like this one. I was in the pool for 3 hours, jumping in and out many times and swimming under water and this liner did not come off or smudge at all. I was honestly so surprised how it stayed for so long that I went to the store last weekend and purchased 3 more.
Today I bought this product from a dollar tree in Vegas and I was greatly disappointed, because I tried to do my eyeliner and it didn't look like the color the pencil depicted. And I tried it as a eyebrow pencil and it still didn't look like the pigment that was shown on the bottom of the pencil.

I like the eyeliner but it's hard to put on. When I try putting it on, it rubs against my skin before the color finally goes on.
Kat from Minneapolis
Just not a great product unfortunately

I'm picky when it comes to eyeliner. This one didn't apply very clean or dark. Will probably just keep it for a back up. Kinda disappointed in this product.

I bought this eyeliner maybe a month ago & I ABSOLUTELY love it. It glides on so smoothly & it doesn't run on corners of of my eyes. More importantly it was very affordable as so far all of Elf products are, which is I'm a repeat customer.

I have tried many, MANY eyeliners, because the ones that stay on burn my eyes and the ones that don't burn my eyes tend to not stay on. This is A+ allergy wise. Maybe B+ for longevity. Stuff usually comes straight off my waterline in a half hour. This--once I layer it twice--gives me 8 hours. My eyes are watery, but not oily. If I rub them or wipe them, it will come off. I was surprised to see the bad reviews, but I did try the Charcoal shade and it was a useless cheap mess, so maybe only the black is good? Also occasionally I will get a drier one in the black. It is definitely worth trying again if you got a bad one. It's my favorite drugstore liner and better than most high end.

This was the first eyeliner product that had no color coming out of the stick, it must of been very old, had to throw away

I bought the black eyeliner and it goes on smoothly but it isn't long lasting. I only use this on days where I have quick errands and know I won't be wearing eye makeup for a long time. Wouldn't recommend this for all day wear.

I've purchased this eyeliner in black and coffee. I wear the coffee more often as I'm fair skinned and like a softer look, but every one I've bought is so dry that it hurts to put it on. I love the wear of this liner but it's really frustrating that the color I like seems to have the same issue every time I buy.

I bought this eyeliner hoping it would be nice, creamy and soft to apply. It was neither of these. The eyeliner was very hard on the eyelid and when applying it to the back of my hand to test, it hurt. Stick with the liquid eyeliner, unless this was the exception.

I really liked it at first but then the product started to break as I used it and I thought I was using to much pressure so I went lighter but it still broke It ended up lasting me 2 weeks

This eyeliner I got the brown one....it is so dry it hurts to use. Honestly I tried it twice then tossed it.

This eye liner does not apply well even with a lot of tugging. I was expecting it to work easily but it didn't even come off the pencil.

This is not a creamy eyeliner at all. I've had the tip break off a few times, and I need to go over my waterline a few times to really build up the color. However, it still gets four stars from me because it doesn't budge. This doesn't come off until you remove it, which is rare for me with pencil liner.

I have been using this the past month and I am in love!!!! Slides right on and stays put all day. Can't beat the price!

First time trying this one and just like most of the reviews about it being a bit difficult to apply, it felt too dry & couldn't get it on as smoothly as I wanted. And it didn't seem to last all day. Plus when I removed it, it seemed like it made my lid super dry! Don't want to fully give up on it just yet since I bought 2. I will have to give it another try tomorrow.

Product was so dry and hard, it scratched my eyelid and I couldn't even get it to leave a line. Tried warming it up on my hand, but it was still a no go. I was excited about this but now I am bummed!

Loved the color but very hard to apply on your eyelid
Echo from Springfield, OR
Takes a bit of back and forth to get it to apply and will eventually wear off, if used on the water line. At least it actually applies color

What happened to the fabulous eyeliner pencil, non retrackable you sold about a year ago? I bought both this "retractable" and the "new" pencil liner and both are hard as rocks. I can't even get either to put a smudge under my eyes. And it hurts to get the color on my upper lids. I now have NO eyeliner for today as I never thought neither of these wouldn't work and waited til my old pencil was gone to open them. What did you do to your fabulous product? There are other reviews talking about a "crayon" like effect....that's what I want....is this just a "bad" batch or something? These are HORRIBLE!!!!

Yikes, not sure how I feel about these. I wish they worked but recommend spending more money to get a better product. Cannot line your eyes with these they are extremely running however sit nicely on the top of ur lids.

I wound up trying most of elf eyeliners..so
Pros and Cons
Pro: easy to put on, goes on smooth, and lasts all day
Pro: it's smooth and creamy more like a crayon than a pencil
Pro: retracts nice and easy so easy to travel with
Con: thick more like a pencil than liquid. Overall it's an in between of the pencil and liquid so you can get it too fine
I'm wearing the charcoal in the picture.

You have to go back and forth over and over again just to get it to show up.
Lilsunshine from Pasadena, California
I use the eyeliner on my eyelids to make my eyes bigger. Glides on perfectly without tugging!
Megh_b14 from Wisconsin
This eyeliner was so hard it was completely unusable. I couldn't even get it to leave a mark on my eyelid. Immediately threw it into the trash.

Great blue color. Doesn't go on smoothly
