- Q
Hi, does this sunscreen prevent tanning? Thank you
- Asked by BeautyQuestions
- Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BEHello there! While Anthelios Melt-In Milk Sunscreen SPF 60 provides broad-spectrum protection against the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays, no sunscreen can completely prevent tanning. Tanning is the skin's natural response to sun exposure, even with sunscreen use. Our sunscreen helps to significantly reduce the intensity of tanning and minimize sun damage, but it doesn’t block 100% of the sun's rays that cause tanning. Consistent and proper application, along with other sun protection measures like seeking shade and wearing protective clothing, is essential for minimizing both tanning and sun damage. Was this answer helpful to you

Best sunscreen I've ever used!
Having pale white skin, I use daily sunscreen to protect it. What I love about this new discovery is how easy and smooth it is to apply. It feels like a gentle whip cream gliding on to my skin. Unlike other products I've tried, it doesn't leave my skin dry or oily; just right and moisturized. It is ...

It is okay
I chose this sunscreen because I could use it on my face as well as my body. I put it on in the morning and keep well away from my eyes but by the middle of the day my eyes are watering and they sting until I wash it off. Also it makes my face greasy.

Best under makeup
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The BEST sunscreen I've ever used!!! It's lightweight and absorbs beautifully !! Finally found spf that goes well under my makeup !!! Love the spf 60 coverage! Good all day.

Effective!!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This product is great! It's a lightweight formula that absorbs quickly with no irritation on my sensitive skin! It has a minimal smell to it too. Effective!

Absorbs easily, lightweight!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a really nice formula. At first glance it looks like it would leave a white cast, but it melts into the skin really nicely and is a thicker, milky consistency so it feels like a nice last step for a skincare routine. It absorbs well but leaves the skin looking a teeny bit greasy in my opinion. I have really sensitive skin and it didn't break me out which is a plus. I use it daily on my hands as well. Highly recommend this product!

Love it
I received this product in exchange for my honest review I love that is for all skin type I have vitiligo and it worked on my skin. I also love that it did not stayed white and it disappeared. I feel it did last a long time. I will 100% recommend and will buy it again.

New favorite SPF!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I received La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk SPF 60 and honestly, it lives up to the hype. The texture is really smooth and creamy when it first comes out of the tube, but it absorbs surprisingly fast. It doesn't leave that thick, chalky layer that a lot of high-SPF sunscreens tend to have. On my skin, it feels lightweight and comfortable, almost like a moisturizer rather than a sunscreen. No white cast, no greasy film, and it doesn't make me look shiny. I also love that it plays nicely under makeup and doesn't pill. Even on sweaty days, it stays put and doesn't run into my eyes. As for protection, I feel like it really delivers. I've worn it during long errands outside and my skin hasn't gotten red or irritated at all. It's gentle too- no stinging, no weird smell, and no breakouts. The only thing I'm not obsessed with is the price, but a little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts. Overall, if you're looking for a high-SPF sunscreen that feels good, protects well, and blends in easily, this one is a great choice. I'd happily repurchase.
