Does What It Claims: Fine Hair Review

First, I'd like to thank Matrix for giving me this product for free so that I could review it. But please note that this review is my own. I have very fine, dry, bleached hair. I also do professional keratin treatments to help keep my frizz at bay and to straighten it because my hair is not natural...ly straight (my waves are not cute). I'm actually due for a touch up appointment next month because my roots are completely grown and natural now. You can't really see the waves in this picture, but I can tell you that this top coat definitely helped my roots not be as crazy. The area in the arrow is the worst for me and right now it's looking pretty good. So, it truly does tame the frizz, as it said it would. Don't forget to use heat to activate it! I do have two cons and it's the reason why I wouldn't replace this from my current go-to product. Like I said, I have super fine hair from all the bleaching (and the keratin). I parted my hair into two sections and used 3 pumps in each section. I'm aware there's a chance I might have used it wrong-- I looked everywhere to see if it's meant to be used after your regular oil/leave in, but I couldn't see anything. So I used it on its own, focusing on my mid section/ends and using whatever was left over on my hands on my roots. It absolutely weighed my hair down, even my roots. It also did not leave my hair feeling as soft as my go-to oil. It worked so-so as a detangler, so I struggled to brush my hair a bit. For the reasons I just stated, I would only use this in between my keratin sessions (when my roots need help) and don't care how weighed down my hair feels even right after blow drying it. Would I personally purchase this after I run out? Probably not because it's not a necessity for me. But I still think this could work great for others-- and I will try using it again, but less pumps this time and see how it feels. For the price and results, I think this is worth for those who truly need the help with frizz.
