The goal for 2026 is to USE WHAT I HAVE and after going through my current makeup collection, I realized I have a lot of lip liners that I like, but lack a depth and/or mutedness I have come to prefer. Rather than buy new liners, after experiments with the squirt balm in Jet, I realized a small amount of black pigment often gets the color to exactly where I want it to be. As a result, I have only one product I bought that will help me go through the about dozen or so liners I want to put a real dent in. MAC having these basic/primary hues in such good formulas really helps stretch my makeup collection with added efficiency.

I have several shades of this lipstick- they are my go-to for reds! D for Danger is a beautiful deep plum that I tend to only wear in the winter. While most of my MAC matte lipsticks can be a little drying (including Ruby Woo, Russian Red, and Mehr), I find that D for Danger is especially so. If I have to reapply after eating, it gets downright uncomfortable and the color can get muddy. Usually, adding another light layer of primer or completely removing and reapplying is more comfortable than adding another layer on top and blotting. I pair this shade with a Beet lip pencil.
