Q
If it's a heat protectant, why do the instructions say to apply it to wet hair and air-dry, or to dry hair? I want a protectant that works while I blow-dry my hair.
Asked by Sylvia
Official Answer By OUAI - Brand Engage
OUAI here! You can absolutely apply Hair Oil to wet hair and blow dry your hair as usual! Our Hair Oil can be used on wet or dry hair! For application on wet hair, we recommend starting with one pump and applying from the eyeline down focusing on mid-lengths and ends. Then, comb through your hair and style as usual. Medium to thicker hair textures can apply more if needed. Was this answer helpful to you

"Work 1-3 drops through wet hair and air dry. Or, smooth through dry strands after a blowout to calm frizz." Does this mean it's not recommended to use it on wet hair before a blow out?

Our Hair Oil can be used on either wet or dry hair! For application on dry hair, we recommend starting with one pump and emulsifying it into your hands. Then, smooth Hair Oil into your hair from eyeline down focusing on mid-lengths and ends. Q
What is is the difference between the Lightweight Hair Oil for Frizz Control and Anti-Frizz Styling Crème? how do they work differently on the hair? should I use both?
Asked by Cassie
Official Answer By OUAI - Brand Engage
OUAI Hair Oil is a lightweight, multitasking oil that helps fight frizz, adds high-shine, and protects against heat up to 450°F. It’s great for sealing split ends, smoothing flyways, and giving hair a silky, glossy finish without weighing it down. OUAI Anti-Frizz Crème, on the other hand, is more of a leave-in styling cream. It helps tame frizz, protects against humidity, and leaves hair smooth and polished. It has a richer, creamier texture that hydrates while also protecting against heat styling up to 437°F. You can definitely use both together, depending on your routine! We recommend applying Anti-Frizz Crème first on damp hair to smooth and hydrate, and then finish with a small amount of Hair Oil (on damp or dry hair) to seal in shine and control flyways. It's important to do what feels best for your hair! It really comes down to your hair’s needs and how much frizz control and shine you’d like. ✨Was this answer helpful to you

Holy Grail For Making Frizzy Hair Ultra Sleek and Glossy

I can't even describe the sense of relief and joy I feel having finally found the product that will calm my frizz and give me that sleek glossy look that I thought was only possible at the salon. Background: thick frizzy hair runs in my family. For as long as I can remember, my mom has been on the h...

You could pass on this one..

This hair oil feels nourishing and moisturizing without being too heavy or feeling like my hair isn't able to absorb it properly, but I don't feel like it's anything to write home about. I would recommend only applying on wet/damp hair or it will sit on top of your hair and give a really oily effect...

This stuff is Magical!!

Submitted 5 days ago

By Megs

So I've tried a few oils and they usually weigh my hair down and make it greasy too easy…I have fine hair mid back so I fight with breakage and split ends very easily. I tried the oil and thought it was great but took a few days off to see if it was just a placebo effect…its not!!! I love this! More lightweight than Olaplex…wish it came in different scents but its still nice.

Great product, horrible packaging

From New Orleans, LA

Love this hair oil. The current packaging is useless: oil gushes out of the base of the cap on every pump. It's a big leaky mess. This useless cap also does not have any type of lid or way to seal it for travel, which shouldnt be too surprising given how much it leaks at home already. I'd totally buy this oil again but don't know if I can justify the $$ with this useless of a container.

For curly and when you straighten your hair!!!

Submitted 15 days ago

By Yari

From MD

I've been using it for a year. My hair is 4b/3c curly and I use it when I need to soften the gel cast. When I straighten my hair, it's the best for keeping frizz away; just a little from mid-length to ends is all you need. And if you like the smell of gardenia, this will be a winner for you. It's a subtle scent that you only notice if you're close to your hair, but you can smell it for days.
