    Q
Does this work on black hair If so will my hair turn brownish?
    Asked by Leah
Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand Engage
The exact level of lift that you experience will depend on your starting shade, but typically you can expect Lighten Up to lift hair 2-3 shades. With black hair, this would be a slightly lighter black into a darker brown, which mostly would be noticed in the sunlight. We recommend using Lighten Up "For Brunettes" which contains a lower level of the lightening agent than "For Blondes" - this will help prevent darker hair from lightening to an orange color. It's always a good idea to test a strand to make sure you like the end result before applying over your whole head. Was this answer helpful to you
    Q
how well does it work on brunnet hair?
    Asked by sarah
Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand Engage
Expect that the "For Brunettes" formula will lighten hair up to 2-3 shades. To lighten without turning hair orange, this formula has a lower level of the lightening agent than the "For Blondes" formula, as well as a Blue Toner. Was this answer helpful to you
    Q

    Q
Can I use this with heat protectant sprays to try and avoid damage or will that render the product ineffective?
    Asked by Emay
Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand Engage
It should still work, but you should apply Lighten Up before applying the heat protectant. Was this answer helpful to you
    Q
Can you use the brunette mist on bleached blonde hair to be less harsh?
    Asked by Tara
Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand Engage
For bleached hair, it's important to avoid overly lifting and drying out the already processed hair. Both Lighten Up options contain a lightening agent, and should only be used if your hair is conditioned regularly, healthy and hydrated. If your hair is in good condition, the blonde formula contains a blue toner which is best for blonde hair. It is recommended that you test the product on a small section of hair first to ensure you like the end result. Was this answer helpful to you

Hally Hair Lighten Up Spray is an absolute game-changer!

I recently stumbled upon this miracle product and let me tell you, it's nothing short of amazing. As someone who loves spending time at the beach, achieving that sun-kissed look without damaging my hair has always been a struggle. disappointed!

After reading about all the good reviews I was very optimistic for a product that doesn't lighten brunette hair.... My hair is a medium brown and it didn't even change... Will be returning to the store shortly...

Used it for a few weeks over the summer, didn't think it was working so I stopped using it. Now that my roots have grown out, it is clear that it worked! See the photos. Subtle but definitely effective on my naturally blonde hair. Gonna start again!

I have used Lighten Up for Blondes 3 times. I apply it before going out in the sun. The before and after speaks for itself! I am in love. My hair doesn't feel dry or brittle, in fact it's still soft! I am so shocked but thoroughly impressed!
