Easy to Use, Blendable and May be Suitable for Sensitive Ski

I was sent shades 5 and 35 in the Maybelline Lifter Stix multi-use face sticks. Shade 5 is their lightest shade and is listed under "warm" on their website. Although I consider myself to be a cool-leaning neutral fair to light olive, I was able to make 5 work for me because it is very blendable and ...sheer if you're using it sparingly. Shade 35 is listed under "cool" and I don't agree with that. It reads warm on my skin but your own undertones will affect how it reads to the eye on different skin tones. The swatches are on the inside of my arm which is a bit ruddier than normal but I did try to place it where my skin is more neutral and I still feel it has warmth that would work well as a bronzer but not as a true contour. The swatch of shade 35 is heavier at the top then I blended it out a bit. It doesn't seem to be patchy at all although my swatch is a little. That was my application, not the product. I think prepping your face will be key to making the Lifter Stix apply nicely and setting with a light powder may be needed for longevity. One nice thing about the finish is it didn't stay super tacky like other cream products I've used if you don't want to set it. Both shades blended out nicely on my face but I haven't worn them enough to say whether or not they will emphasize fine lines or have creasing when worn for extended periods of time. These seem like quick go-to products when you want minimal coverage and easy application for running some errands and don't want to put on a whole face of makeup. The Maybelline Lifter Stix paired nicely with the new Super Fluff brow product and gave me a put together look in a couple of minutes. I have sensitive skin and the Lifter Stix didn't cause me any irritation or breakouts from using them. I also didn't notice any fragrance which is a huge plus for me. I noticed other reviews mentioning their reactions so your skin may not agree with it as mine did. I like the ease of use and I would recommend them for people who are just beginning to experiment with makeup and want an effortless but polished look. Finding the best shade to compliment you could be challenge, as with many drug store products because they all tend to lean yellow, orange or pink. By the swatches I've seen online and on their website, they don't have any true neutral shades which is disappointing but also expected. If Maybelline would expand their shade range to have TRUE neutrals across all skin tone depths, it would be revolutionary.
