Most Helpful Positive Review This product is GREAT and works I just bought this product and was skeptical because of some the reviews. However I truly suffer with bad dry flaky scalp/dandruff. I used this once and it worked way better then Vegamour $$ small scalp treatment. My hair is noticeably more healthier and no more flakes and I use once a week. There's no residue left over either. Its amazing!! I'm guessing the not so great reviews below aren't working it into there scalp properly. I only use a small amount on top of my scalp and rub it in and it dissolves and wash it out and continue with shampoo after :) If you truly have dry and flaky scalp this product works! I no longer suffer form itchy flaky scalp.
Most Helpful Critical Review Difficult to use I had really high hopes for this product as it was recommended to me by my hair dresser however, it did not work for me. Parting your wet hair in the shower is not easy so a lot of this product just ended up clumped up at my roots. I think you'd have to part your hair in 1 inch sections if you wanted to thoroughly apply this. This product is also so thick that even if you do manage to get it on your scalp, you can't really work it around without it tangling your hair. It also took a lot of scrubbing to wash it out of my hair, which makes me wonder if this is why people are saying it works.
I wouldn't recommend this unless your hair is short and very thin.

If I could wear this scent as a perfume I would, but otherwise the product just isn't for me. It's very clumpy and sticky, which makes it difficult to work into your scalp. I have thick, straight hair and it ended up just getting all over and was difficult to rinse out. Definitely not for those who have thicker hair.
Works, but THICK 3
Neyy from CA
This product works well, but application is annoying. My scalp feels calm and clean. My hair feels clean, soft and shiny. However, as others mentioned it is hard to part wet hair in the shower and this product had a wide angled pointed tip that makes application difficult. The consistency of the product is very thick. It grabs onto the hair is a little difficult to work around the scalp. I'm not certain if purchase again strictly based on application.
Instant difference! 5
Annabel from Edmond, OK
I have been training my hair to not be washed daily and using dry shampoo between washes. I started to notice buildup near my roots after washes even after shampooing twice. I just tried this product for the first time and can instantly tell a difference in my hair. It feels cleaner, lighter, and smells amazing thanks to this scrub. I have naturally wavy, thick hair and had no issues working this product in during my shower. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a fast solution to buildup.
Sticky 2

This scrub is thick and sticky. The sugar in it feels like it would be very exfoliating if it didn't stick and stay stick in your hair :/
Feels great 4

I have scalp psoriasis and it's hard to keep the scales from forming. This scrub helps keep the skin from thickening. My scalp feels super clean and supple. I wish the brand would make a shampoo with the same scent because this smells fabulous!
Smells good works instantly! 5
Scalp scrub from Opelika
This smells really good and light so that it's not too thick when applying to your scalp. It's almost like it worked instantly. I had a dry itchy scalp and after just one use of this I finally have relief!

Gets the job done! 4
Neoma from CA
This is a good light exfoliation not necessarily something deep. It does help break up dry shampoo and build up from my hair (I wash my hair every 4-5 days). It definitely needs to be followed by a second wash of your normal shampoo or a clarifying if you have a lot of build up. But it gets the job done! It's not the best but it isn't the worst and for under $15 it's great!
A tip: I don't section my hair I just wet my hair completely and disperse the product onto my hands and focus using my finger pads to get the product on my scalp and massage it. I leave it on for 3-5 mins as a mini scalp mask.

Not for Me 2
KD from Seattle
The product is good in theory. However, I lost a lot of hair when using this product. I have used the masque in the past with no issues. If your prone to hair loss, I'd look for a different product.
Good exfoliator 3
Bec from Ulta
When I first used this I thought it was good for exfoliating, but sometimes too much would come out. This would definitely be good for someone who has short hair/hair that doesn't go past their shoulders.
I would not buy this item again 2

I thought it was a shampoo you use to exfoliate your scalp which sounded like a good thing, but you have to separate a wet head and massage into scalp, then shampoo this out. too much work so I added it to a shampoo and will use it that way
This product is a hot mess 2
Angela from new york
It smelled nice but was so thick and chunky, a very rough and abrasive scrub. That combined with a bulky & useless applicator tip means you'll never get this past your roots. PASS
Yuck 1
Mary from SoCal
It felt like I had Vaseline and sugar in my hair. It took so long to wash out. Cool concept for the bottle but the scrub itself sucked.

IN LOVE 5

I have so many good things to say about this, and it's got me hooked on everything Kristin Ess. First of all it smells like the ocean which I LOVE. It has a pointed nozzle on it so u can get the scrub directly onto your scalp. The exfoliation feels amazing and your head will feel so refreshed. And the packaging is also beautiful. Definitely a go to.
Good concept 1
Alex R. from California
This was a good idea but the scrub is so thick and lumpy it doesn't stay on your scalp. The scrub is so coarse you can't really use it in your scalp. The bottle has a good top so it's easy to dispense on the scalp but the formula just didn't work for me. I tried it three times and with a scalp brush and it still don't do it's job.
Smells like a hamster cage 1
Riki from Georgia
The product is like Vaseline with sand. Also there is a bonus, if you want your hair and hands to smell like a hamster cage then here's your product.

Exactly what I needed! Love it!! 5

I was getting a lot of buildup from dry shampoo/products and it just felt heavy and not good!
I did put it in my hand and scrub it on my scalp like most have suggested, worked great for me!

Definitely works and leaves my hair soft as well.
Good experiences! 4
Kayla from USA
Scalp feels nice and clean after I use it. I only wish the tip was narrower so that the product would come out in smaller amounts. I currently have to apply the product to my fingertips and then apply to scalp
Won't buy again 2
Carmen from Nevada
Smells nice, but is difficult to use, and doesn't give the results I would like. I got it because my scalp was flaking around my hairline, and I wanted to clear that out/prevent it. It has not helped, I'm still flaking, and it's a pain to use. It says to wet hair, then part your hair to apply… it's very difficult to part my hair after it's wet, and difficult to get this stuff all over my scalp.
Holy grail for a janky scalp 5
Mama T from Alabama
I have battled with my oily hair/dry, flakey, itchy, sensitive scalp since my skin changed in my early 20's. This is the only thing I have found that allows me to cleanse my scalp so that I can use dry shampoo for a few days. My scalp is FINALLY balanced and healthy. The product takes some getting used to- it is moisturizing as well, and is oil based, so it takes a good 2 if not 3 shampoos to get it out. Also, I found that putting it on my fingers and then massaging it in my scalp wasted way less product than using the pointy applicator. Overall, highly recommend if you have psoriasis or seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Hard to use but works! 5
Lauryn from Indiana
I was getting really bad build up and flakes. I tried this product and after the first use all my flakes and buildup were gone! I found it hard to part your hair (like it said) and apply it, because my hair is wet and heavy so it's super hard to part and get the product everywhere. I was nervous it wouldn't rise out, because it's so chunky, but I had no issues at all.
