Nioxin Hair Fall Defense Serum

Not sure how it works. Cannot stand the odor.

I don't normally write reviews ever, but I wanted to right one for this because to could help others going through the same situation as me. My hair has been thinning for about two years now after have curly full thick hair all my life. This is the first real hair growth/ hair strengthening product I've spent real money on (not over the counter) and if you're like me and don't love spending a lot of money on products I want to give real reviews for what I think so I can help you make that decision! So my first day was today. I just sprayed it in my hair and I wanted to give my initial feedback. I was nervous because the comments said it has a very strong overwhelming smell. I'm not sensitive to smells, and at first there was no smell to me at all. As it's been sitting in my hair for a bit now I smell it more. To be honest though, if you're like me and can deal with smells its not a deal breaker. Unless it continues to grow stronger or something it hasn't bothered me at all. Second, I know there was some comments saying it does make their hair greasy. I will agree, I did the 15 sprays and my hair does feel greasy. Its not clean clean right now so I don't mind, but I personally don't know if I'll actually be using this everyday because I won't want my hair to look greasy when I go out places. At this point though, I don't mind having greasy hair if that's what will help me. Tomorrow I am going to try to spray it on from further back because I feel like the spray from close up doesn't really spread even with massaging it in. I know from further back more product might go on my hair than my scalp, but I feel like it reaches more surface area. Anyway, to anyone having issues with hair loss, shedding, thinning, etc. I feel your pain and I wish you the best of luck on your journey to find products that help. First of all, I bought this thanks to Abby's recomendation on tt. I remembered her sister tried it and it helped with hair regrowth?! But for me, I have been bleaching and dyeing my hair constantly to the point of breakage and using this product 1.5 month prior to my recently bleaching session (on the scalp) has helped me tremendously with my scalp health. My hair stylist is even surprised on how strong my hair is. I have black hair and I needed to bleach it to level 8-9 in order to dye the color I want (silver purple); using this product litterally will change your scalp health in overall I promise you that. The only cons I see is the overwhelming scent but I can deal with that.

I've been using this product for about a week now and I'm excited to continue. It was recommended by my dermatologist, so I hope to see great results in the coming weeks.

ok, I do think this works. However, this makes my hair SO greasy that I just have to wash my hair in the morning. so, that's a big con for me.
